Every week we at Watch The Yard highlight a poem that was performed by a member of a Black fraternity or sorority and give it exposure on a national stage.

This weeks poem comes from Phi Beta Sigma member Imani Waweru who was selected to do a poetry piece for the Black Law Group Graduation brunch at Georgetown University in Washington DC.

Imani graduated from Georgetown law school the same weekend this poem was performed and will be moving to New York to become a public defender.

Share this on Facebook if you think Imani deserves to go VIRAL!
