50 Cent Posts “RIP NYC” Image After Mamdani’s Win
If there’s one thing 50 Cent knows how to do, it’s make noise online. Not long after his initial reaction, the rapper-turned-TV exec took things up a notch. He shared an image that many assumed was AI-generated—a gravestone with “RIP NYC” engraved on it.
The post had no caption, but fans understood the message. In another slide, he added a clip of Zohran Mamdani speaking about Trump during his acceptance speech, captioning it, “3 words: No funding coming! NYC finished.”
And while most of his posts trended, one didn’t survive the night. In a since-deleted story, 50 responded to Mamdani’s song choice—Ja Rule’s 2004 hit “New York”—as he walked onstage after winning. The irony was not lost on anyone.
“Of course he would walk out to that fool,” 50 wrote. “His plan doesn’t [affect] him. He ain’t getting no money.”
