Today at New York Comic Con, fans got a pulse-pounding first look at Season Two of Cross, the hit Prime Video crime thriller starring and executive produced by Aldis Hodge — and it did not disappoint! The new teaser, along with the official premiere date, proves this show is ready to raise the stakes even higher when it returns on Wednesday, February 11, 2025. The season will kick off with three episodes, followed by new drops each week leading to the finale on March 18.

Based on James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross novels, this adaptation continues to deliver the psychological edge and emotional grit that hooked audiences in its debut season. Created by Ben Watkins (Hand of God), Cross follows Alex Cross (Hodge), a brilliant homicide detective and forensic psychologist whose unique gift is getting inside the minds of killers. Season One gave us a masterclass in suspense, and now Season Two promises to dig even deeper into the moral gray zones of justice and vengeance.

This time, Alex faces a chilling new threat: a ruthless vigilante targeting corrupt billionaire magnates. But in a city built on secrets and power, the line between hero and villain is more blurred than ever. If last season showed us Alex confronting his own demons, this one may force him to question what justice truly looks like.

The Cross universe is also expanding. Season Two welcomes new cast members Matthew Lillard, Jeanine Mason, and Wes Chatham, alongside returning stars Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill. Talk about a power-packed ensemble!

With its blend of high-stakes action, psychological depth, and rich character storytelling — plus Hodge’s commanding performance anchoring every frame — Cross continues to be one of the most compelling genre series led by a Black actor on television. Finally, a complex Black lead we can root for!

Backed by Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount Television Studios, and executive produced by Ben Watkins, Aldis Hodge, and a powerhouse creative team including James Patterson, the series is proof that complex, layered Black heroes belong at the center of prestige crime dramas. We love to see it!

Mark your calendars, February can’t come soon enough. Cross is about to pull us right back into the mind of the hunter and the hunted.
