Breaking: U.S. and Israel Launch Major Attack On Iran Overnight

Heavy news this morning: Early this Saturday, the United States and Israel confirmed they launched a major military operation against Iran, turning weeks of tension into full-blown action.

After repeated warnings from President Donald Trump about Iran’s nuclear program, and sharp criticism of the regime’s violent crackdown on protesters back in January, the pressure finally boiled over.

And this wasn’t no quiet move. In a video posted to Truth Social, Donald Trump said the U.S. was “undertaking a massive and ongoing operation to prevent this very wicked, radical dictatorship from threatening America and our core national security interests.” The military has officially named the mission Operation “Epic Fury.”

Behind the scenes, the Trump administration had been pushing hard: pressure campaigns, indirect nuclear talks, the whole chessboard.

Back in June 2025, President Trump ordered airstrikes on key Iranian nuclear facilities.

After the strikes, Trump didn’t just address the military. He called directly on Iran’s armed forces to stand down and urged civilians to rise up and “take over your government.”

Speaking to the Washington Post, he said his objective was securing freedom and safety for Iran’s people.

Meanwhile, Iran’s foreign minister stepped up to calm speculation about leadership casualties, saying the country’s supreme leader and president are alive, “as far as I know.” That wording alone tells you how tense things are right now.

    FBI on High Alert

Back home, security agencies aren’t taking any chances. Kash Patel, the Director of the FBI, directed the bureau’s counterterrorism and counterintelligence teams to move to elevated alert overnight, according to CBS News. L
