Michael Ilesanmi is officially turning the page on a long and turbulent chapter.
On March 10, the 90 Day Fiancé alum confirmed that his marriage to Angela Deem had legally ended, announcing the news directly to fans through social media.
“Yo fam. Finally, I’m divorced,” Michael shared in a video posted to Instagram. “Single life, here I come.”
He echoed the message in the caption, writing that the split was now official and thanking supporters who followed his journey through the ups and downs of the relationship.
Michael and Angela first entered the reality television spotlight in 2018 when they appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Their relationship quickly became one of the franchise’s most talked-about storylines, often drawing attention for its intense arguments and emotional moments.
Despite ongoing tension, the couple married in January 2020. However, complications including the COVID-19 pandemic delayed Michael’s move to the United States until December 2023. After finally living together, the marriage soon unraveled, with Michael leaving their shared home just a few months later.
Angela later filed for an annulment, claiming the marriage was fraudulent and that Michael married her solely to obtain a green card. Michael denied the allegations and filed for divorce instead, stating that the relationship had become abusive.
According to reports, the final divorce settlement did not include spousal support. Both parties agreed to waive alimony and remain responsible for their own debts and legal fees. The agreement also included a clause preventing either party from making knowingly false public statements intended to damage the other’s reputation.
Now officially single, Michael says he is focusing on rebuilding his life.
“It’s a new chapter in my life,” he shared in another video. “I’m starting all over and I need to focus on myself… the best is yet to come.”
Several fellow 90 Day Fiancé personalities showed support in the comments, congratulating him on moving forward. Angela Deem has not publicly commented on the divorce.
