Mustang: Faith, Fame, and Finding His Purpose

After being publicly judged and misunderstood, Mustang is rewriting his story on his own terms—with God, growth, and greatness leading the way.

He’s not just a name — he’s a brand, a movement, and a whole force. Model. Actor. AAAI Certified Personal Trainer. Licensed Massage Therapist. Mentor. Health & Wellness Coach. Entertainer. Socialite. Whatever lane he steps into, he dominates it. He’s building an empire, brick by brick.

You’ve seen him everywhere — BET’s BIGGER, Tyler Perry’s Sistas, Beauty In Black and All The Queen’s Men BET+, The Braxtons Family Values, BET Tales, P-Valley, and Joseline Hernandez’s “Dancing Freaks.” But behind all those credits is a man who’s had to rebuild his name, his peace, and his purpose. It’s a testament to his resilience, a quality we deeply admire.

Now, with his new book, “PAIN, ENTERTAINMENT, PORN TURNS INTO PRAYER, PROMISE AND PRAISE | Confessions Of The Dark Praise In The Light,” Mustang is reclaiming his narrative and giving fans an inside look at the battles, blessings, and breakthroughs that shaped him. The book is raw, redemptive, and real — a spiritual testimony wrapped in the lessons of fame, faith, and forgiveness. This isn’t just a tell-all; it’s a testimony.

    Q&A WITH MUSTANG

    1. What was your motivation for writing the book?

Mustang: I was inspired to write this book based on my most recent life experiences that my close personal friends and family got to witness firsthand. Especially after the DaBaby situation — people tried to sabotage my career and make it sex-based. My friends told me, “Tell your truth and shed light on the facts.” No matter how much the devil tries to twist what you’ve worked so hard for, GOD KEEPS BLESSING YOU.

    2. Since you were raised in the church and your father is a pastor, what led you to get into the adult entertainment business? Was it about money, or was there a specific goal?

Mustang: My father actually married me and my ex-wife, Coco. He saw me go through different relationships, so when I got into the industry, I did straight content too. It’s out there — Google it. I wasn’t really outed until I did gay and bisexual porn.

For me, it was something I thought I could do quietly to get financially stable. My goal was simple — hit $50K and I was out.

    3. What was the breaking point that made you decide to leave the adult film industry?

Mustang: The money was good, no lie. That’s what kept me longer than I planned. But the disrespect hit different. People start treating you like you don’t have feelings. They think because you were on camera, they can say or do whatever — and you’re just supposed to take it. It’s a stark reminder that even in the spotlight, respect is paramount.

At some point, I realized I didn’t owe anybody explanations. I couldn’t keep defending myself to people who only saw me for one thing. So I let my actions speak instead.

    4. How did you feel being exposed by your own community after the preview of DaBaby’s “Project Chicks” video dropped?

Mustang: When I did that DaBaby video, it was just work. Nobody asks about your sexuality when you clock in. From a professional standpoint, my personal life had nothing to do with that set.

So when people from my own community tried to expose me for something unrelated, it showed me more about them than me. It was hate, envy, jealousy — period. They couldn’t handle me evolving beyond their mindset. But I stayed silent, stayed consistent, and stayed blessed. It’s a lesson in rising above the noise and staying true to your path.

    5. After the DaBaby drama, were you nervous about working with Offset? How did he react when he found out?

Mustang: I was nervous, yeah. After what I went through, I didn’t know if any celebrity would want to work with me again. I started limiting my media interactions. But God always comes through.

I met Offset in the gym — we’d been seeing each other for a week before one of my clients introduced us. He asked if I could train him, and I said yes. After a month, he had me traveling with him.

When he eventually found out about my past, he didn’t care. He laughed and said, “Bro, you’ve always been professional, respectful — you never gave that off. You realer than some of these straight dudes around me.”

That’s when I knew — he saw me for me. Not the rumors. Not the headlines. From that moment, we locked in like brothers.

    6. What did you learn from being on Tyler Perry’s sets?

Mustang: Tyler Perry’s sets taught me a lot — especially about discipline. I learned that even when you take the wrong turn, keep driving. Don’t quit. God will reroute you to something better.

Every time someone tried to attack my character, God opened a bigger door. Bigger checks. Bigger blessings. So I live by this: Never give up. Never stop. Dream big. And go get it.

From viral moments to major TV credits, from gym sessions to film sets, Mustang is walking proof that you can’t cancel what God called.

His story — and his new book “PAIN, ENTERTAINMENT, PORN TURNS INTO PRAYER, PROMISE AND PRAISE | Confessions Of The Dark Praise In The Light” — is a living testimony that even when the world tries to count you out, faith will count you back in.

He’s not just surviving — he’s thriving, rebuilding, and showing the world that purpose always wins. Mustang is living proof that your past doesn’t define your future.
