More than 15,000 Black professionals from across the country converged on Downtown Atlanta for Sundresses & Seersuckers XIV, a four-day celebration that blended fashion, fellowship, and philanthropy. Held June 5–8, 2025, the annual experience once again proved why it’s considered the premier summer event for Black professionals nationwide.

Now in its 14th year, Sundresses & Seersuckers offered attendees a curated weekend of upscale parties, networking events, and community engagement. Hosted by the Delta Mu Mu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., the event served a deeper purpose—raising critical funds for Commitment to Excellence, Inc. (CTE), a nonprofit that supports youth mentorship and college access initiatives in Metro Atlanta.

Funds raised during the weekend directly benefited CTE’s Black Rhinos Mentoring Program, which provides Black male students in grades 6–12 with year-round mentorship, life skills training, and academic support. Proceeds also went toward the organization’s scholarship fund, which awards college scholarships to high school seniors who demonstrate academic achievement and a commitment to giving back.

The weekend kicked off Thursday night with a packed meet-and-greet at Suite Lounge, where attendees reconnected in an intimate social setting. On Friday, guests explored a vibrant vendor marketplace showcasing Black-owned businesses and gathered for midday networking at the Hyatt Regency’s PreVue lounge mixer. That evening, the Southern Exchange hosted The PreQuel, a signature event known for its fashion-forward crowd and high-energy atmosphere.

Saturday brought another full day of events, beginning with the return of the Marketplace and a morning panel titled “Ask the Divine 9 Doctors,” which featured medical professionals from Black Greek-letter organizations discussing health and wellness in the Black community. Later that afternoon, the Home Depot Backyard was transformed for the Main Event, where thousands in sundresses and seersucker suits celebrated under the open sky with music, cocktails, and curated activations. The energy carried into the night with the AfterGroove back at the Hyatt Regency.

The weekend concluded Sunday afternoon with a laid-back day party at Suite Lounge, giving guests one last chance to dance, network, and reflect on the impact of the experience.

“Sundresses & Seersuckers has always been about more than just a good time,” said Wendell Span, Co-Chairman of the event. “It’s a celebration of Black excellence, unity, and the power of giving back.”

What began as a stylish summer gathering has evolved into a nationally recognized fundraiser supporting youth empowerment, educational advancement, and community leadership. Sundresses & Seersuckers XIV not only delivered an unforgettable weekend but reaffirmed its commitment to building up the next generation.

We at Watch The Yard would like to commend these brothers for their continued commitment to uplifting the community through service, mentorship, and excellence. Sundresses & Seersuckers XIV is a powerful example of how Omega Psi Phi brothers continue to lead with purpose.
