Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump have confirmed their relationship, making it official on social media. The 49-year-old golf icon shared two intimate photos with Vanessa on Instagram on Sunday, March 23, along with a sweet caption:
“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together.”
He also requested privacy as the couple embarks on this new chapter together.
The photos show the couple in relaxed poses—one with their arms around each other, and the other of them cuddled together in a lounge chair. These rare glimpses into their relationship caught many by surprise, though PEOPLE confirmed earlier this month that they’ve been quietly dating for several months. Their connection goes back to their children’s shared interests. Both Woods and Trump have children who compete in junior golf tournaments. Tiger’s kids, Sam (17) and Charlie (16), come from his marriage to ex-wife Elin Nordegren, while Vanessa shares daughter Kai (17) and son Donald III (16) with her ex-husband Donald Trump Jr., from whom she divorced in 2018.
The pair’s children recently crossed paths at the Junior Invitational in South Carolina, where Charlie and Kai competed. Just last month, Tiger was spotted supporting Vanessa and her daughter at the Genesis Invitational in San Diego.
Despite the new romance, PEOPLE reports that Donald Trump Jr. is “cool with” his ex-wife’s relationship with Woods.
A source close to the couple shared that Tiger and Vanessa bonded over their shared commitment to their kids’ golf careers, further fueling their connection. “Vanessa has always gone for guys who are either well known or have something big going for them,” the source added. “She’s smart, private, and puts her kids first.”
It seems love, and a shared passion for golf, is indeed in the air for Tiger and Vanessa.
