Zenith’s latest duo channels the watchmaker’s elegantly sporty heritage and a laser-focus on intricate timekeeping.
It can feel almost dizzying to keep up with the twists and turns (and luxurious watches) of LVMH Watch Week, with Hublot updating its Big Bang lineup and Tag Heuer debuting a stunning 21 new timepieces. Not to be overlooked are two new additions to the Zenith family of luxury watches, each a masterclass in precision and detail.

First up, the new Zenith Defy Skyline Chronograph Skeleton joins the luxury watchmaker’s lineup and boasts many of the same hallmarks that have made Zenith watches legendary. Chief among them and within its striking blue, open-worked dial is its El Primero 3600SK manufacture movement (the El Primero was the first to feature a 1/10th-second indicator).

The new Zenith Rainbow Chronomaster Sport, on the other hand, goes for bold glitz and glamor within a true sport watch package. Look closely and you’ll spot a flurry of baguette-cut white diamonds and rainbow sapphires on the bezel, a touch different than typical tachymeter markings (an understatement).

The 42mm build of the Zenith Defy Skyline Chronograph should pair nicely with most wrists, while the option to swap in a blue rubber bracelet bolsters its sporty appeal. Examining the watch from the front reveals the sort of intricacies one might normally find when examining a watch via the caseback: The effect appears mesmerizing at times.

The new timepiece also comes in a sleek, minimal black-dial build with the option to swap in a black rubber strap. And for the price tag ($15,500), the versatility delivered by two strap options is a wise bet, maximizing wearability in situations more refined or casual.

For the Rainbow Chronomaster Sport, a series of sub-dials stand out elegantly on black lacquered dial, while the timepiece is still powered by the El Primero 3600 automatic high-frequency chronograph movement. The watchmaker notes that the timepiece seamlessly blends “sports luxe and the time-honored artistry of high horology and gem-setting.”

More specifically, an impressive selection of 52 rainbow baguette sapphires and 10 baguette diamonds dot the bezel of the Rainbow Chronomaster Sport in refined fashion, while its game-changing movement delivers a 60-hour power reserve. Both new Zenith watches might be less rare than a Zenith timepiece featuring ancient meteorite shards, but the duo speaks to Zenith’s elegantly sporty heritage and a laser-focus on intricate timekeeping.

TikTok faced a temporary banTikTok is facing online backlash for excluding most African creators from its key monetization programs despite the platform’s rapid growth on the continent.
Only three African countries — Morocco, Egypt and South Africa — are included in the 53 regions where TikTok’s Effect Creator Rewards scheme operates. Meanwhile, zero are eligible for payouts via the app’s Creator Fund, which only covers the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Brazil, Japan and South Korea.
The same trend follows regarding the likes of YouTube and Spotify. YouTube’s CPM rates (cost per 1,000 views) for eligible African countries are notoriously and significantly lower than those offered in the rest of the world. Meanwhile, African musicians and podcasters on Spotify earn a fraction of what other artists earn from streams due to the region’s lower subscription rates and advertising revenue.
Consequently, most African creators rely on brand deals, which are often inconsistent and insufficient to sustain a career. Charity Ekezie, a Nigerian influencer with over 3.5 million followers, told BlackCosmopolitan, “I rely on brands. That’s the only way I’ve made money until a year or two ago.”
South African-Nigerian beauty creator Foyin Ogunrombie choed similar frustrations, stating, “The money I made from the platforms themselves has been so small that I can’t even count it as real income.” Like Ekezie, she leans on brand sponsorships to make the most of her earnings.
Gaps remain in corporate collaboration, as influencers of color are routinely offered less money than their white counterparts with similarly sized followings for the same brand sponsorships and partnerships.
Media entrepreneur and creative economy analyst David Adeleke connects this chronic exclusion to Africa’s fundamental lack of socio-political and economic sway on the world stage. “The continent doesn’t generate as much revenue and capital returns for these platforms as other markets. Plus, African countries don’t have the political pull of capital to force these conversations in their favor,” he explains.
This dynamic is particularly evident when looking at the United States, where TikTok faced a temporary ban as the government used its political and economic power to address national security concerns. The move forced ByteDance to consider partial U.S. ownership to maintain access to the highly valuable American market, with negotiations still ongoing. In contrast, African nations, with far less influence, cannot advocate for fair monetization opportunities.
Moreover, TikTok relies on payment processors like Stripe, which is unavailable in most African countries, further weakening the continent’s bargaining power.
In May 2024, the app launched its Change Makers Program, designed to spotlight 50 purpose-driven creators worldwide, with no regional restrictions. The Change Makers Program focuses on providing tools, training and partnerships with non-profits rather than directly addressing regional monetization disparities.
Critics like Adeleke have labeled this scheme as “generic,” arguing that the lack of geographic specification means it “hasn’t moved the needle at all.”
Despite these challenges, TikTok is the second most-used social media platform in Africa behind Facebook, according to a 2023 Geopoll report.
The company has expressed intentions to broaden its monetization initiatives globally, which may include expanding to more African nations, but no explicit plans have been announced.

So you met the love of your life, and now you want to commemorate the relationship with a symbol as everlasting as your love for one another. No, we’re not talking about an engagement ring. We’re talking about a couple’s tattoo.
Similar to what is often referred to as a “tramp stamp,” up until recently, the couple’s tattoo has been stigmatized as cringe at best, and risky at worst. A lot of the hesitation stems from its permanence and public examples of tattoo regret (think: Johnny Depp’s infamous Winona cover-up). Ironically, the idea of getting married can feel more reversible.
Still, with over 750 million views around the term on TikTok, it seems more people are getting tattoos with their significant others — just look at Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck and Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra. So, why is the couple’s tattoo gaining popularity again?
The rise of social media and its expectation to share personal milestones could be a significant driving factor. “Couples may feel a need or desire to publicly showcase their commitment and love story, leading to a rise in tattoos as a visible, permanent symbol,” psychologist Raffaello Antonino, PsyD, says. “Alongside the general societal destigmatization of tattoos, this could be contributing to their growing popularity among couples.”
On the flip side, a couple’s tattoo can be a way to break away from social norms and traditions. “This trend mirrors an increasing desire for non-traditional expressions of commitment,” says divorce attorney Laura Wasser. “The driving factor is the search for more personalized and unique ways to symbolize relationships, beyond conventional methods like wedding rings.”
PS spoke with experts to better understand what type of couples are more likely to get one and what it signifies about your relationship.
Why Do Some Couples Get Matching Tattoos?
There are many reasons to want a couple’s tattoo with your partner, from symbolizing commitment to sharing a meaningful experience. It was harmless fun for Casey Ryan and her husband during their honeymoon in Italy last year. They each chose a different pasta shape for the inside of their elbow, on opposite arms, so when they hold hands, the ink aligns.
“It was spontaneous, cheesy, fun, a bit thrilling like a leap of faith because it is so early on in our marriage,” she says. “Even if we don’t end up staying together over the entire course of our lives, I think it will be a beautiful time in our relationship to look back on and remember.”
In an informal poll on social media, most people who wrote in with couple tattoos said they only did it when they were already married — almost an extension of their commitment to each other. Ryan admits that she was firmly in the anti-couple-tattoo camp before marriage.
Paulina Jayne Isaac tattooed a line from her husband’s vows. “I love tattoos,” she says when asked what drew her to the idea. “They represent a certain feeling for me and mark a time in my life.” The vow was her sixth tattoo. “It’s a wonderful reminder every time I see it and is a symbol of our commitment to each other. I like how my tattoos tell a story.”
For others, it’s less about the commitment of marriage and more about the tattoo itself. Quinn is polyamorous and wants to get a couple’s tattoos with two of their partners. For them, it’s less about symbolizing commitment and more about sharing a fun, niche reference to their relationships. “It’s just cute, and I know we’ll be in each other’s lives, so it feels safe to get it.”
The motivations behind a couple choosing to get a matching tattoo can reveal their relationship dynamics. “On a healthy spectrum, couples who share a passion for tattoos might see it as an exciting shared experience, a bonding activity that further strengthens their connection and commitment,” Dr. Antonino says. “This can symbolize an equal partnership where both individuals share the same values and interests.”
With their relationship’s on-again, off-again nature, Lopez and Affleck are a great example of a couple who would desire a symbol of permanency. Point made: The singer captioned the Instagram reveal of their couple’s tattoo with “#CommitmentIsSexy.”
However, in some cases, the decision can be rooted in insecure attachment styles, Dr. Antonino says. If a couple is on rocky ground, it might be tempting to make a big gesture in the hope it will save the relationship, similar to a home renovation or vow renewal.
“One partner might urge the other into getting a matching tattoo as a means of controlling or asserting possession, a reflection of their fear of abandonment or betrayal,” he says. “While it may seem romantic on the surface, it’s important to identify and address these potentially harmful dynamics.”
The History of the Couple’s Tattoo
Some divorce attorneys may feel too cynical to support a couple’s tattoo, but Dan Zie, CEO of Sunmood Divorce Consultancy, offers a different perspective. “Tattoos have been a part of Chinese culture for centuries, and couples getting tattoos were sometimes used to show love, commitment, and loyalty between two people,” he says.
The earliest example is the Han Dynasty (206 BCE – 220 CE). “During this time period, it was common for couples to get matching yin-yang symbols on their skin,” Zie says. The symbol represents the balance between male and female energies in relationships then. “And later in the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907 CE), couples commonly got matching Buddhist symbols such as lotus flowers or wheels of Dh to represent their connection with each other spiritually and physically.”
Tattoo customs have changed a lot since then. In recent decades, tattoos have gone from taboo counterculture to becoming more normalized. Some couples are just the type to get matching tattoos, and it doesn’t require as much significance as people once thought.
Now there are many variations of the “couple’s tattoo,” from matching ink to pieces inspired by each other. For example, Alli Tooms-Joner got a Nightmare Before Christmas tattoo inspired by her husband. “In 2020, we got married on Halloween, and we pretty much celebrate it year-round,” she says. “For our first anniversary, when I started my sleeve, I knew I wanted an NBC tattoo, so when I got this one, it was with him in mind.”
A couple’s tattoo doesn’t even have to symbolize everlasting love. In her memoir “Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail,” Cheryl Strayed wrote that she got a matching tattoo with her husband right before finalizing their divorce to represent the mark they left on each other. Each tattoo is unique to the couple.
Is Getting a Couple’s Tattoo Ever a Good Idea?
The short answer: each couple knows what’s best for their relationship. But Dr. Antonino suggests taking a beat to understand your motives. “If you’re seeking a tattoo to quell insecurities or fears of abandonment, it might be more beneficial to address those issues directly with your partner or a therapist.” Because, of course, getting a tattoo together has potential consequences.
“Relationships may not always last forever, and a tattoo is a permanent reminder of a past relationship,” says licensed marriage and family therapist Kalley Hartman. “This can be especially difficult if the couple breaks up or feelings change over time.” So before getting a couple’s tattoo, individuals should consider the permanence of the decision because removal can be painful and expensive.
Would you still be happy with the tattoo if the relationship doesn’t work out? Kelsa Blaine got an anchor tattoo on her ring finger as a symbol of how her husband grounded her. A little over a year later, they divorced. “I feel like it’s still a good reminder to myself to stay grounded.” She plans to turn the tattoo into a mountain or a tree if she ever gets remarried.
Ultimately, it’s essential to think the decision through first. “Tattoos are more permanent than even marriage,” Tooms-Joner says. “My husband is still my best friend and the best thing that has ever happened to me. But life happens, and you never know what the future will be. Even if something does happen, this tattoo will be a representation of my life and the love I have now.”

As far as one can remember, Morris Chestnut has been a heartthrob. “I let my wife be the woman. You know? I let her be the woman,” Chestnut said in 2013. “And she, in turn, when it comes down to it, she lets me be the man.”
He also noted at that time that while women may see him as a sex symbol, he’s only had eyes for his wife, and he has always made sure she knows that.
“With my wife, I’m always letting her know what the deal is. ‘It’s you. Ain’t nobody else. It’s you,’” he shared. “And I think, conversely, that’s what a woman needs to do for a man.”
He also says having a great amount of respect for one another keeps them solid.
“It takes work. I think one of the main things [is that] we’ve always had a great amount of respect for one another. We’ve always treated each other with respect. No matter how angry we get, we don’t say things we can’t take back. We don’t say hurtful things, and we communicate,” the actor told TODAY with Hoda & Jenna in 2022.
“It’s either you grow together, or you grow apart, and you can’t really control that. So we’ve just been really fortunate to grow together and still love and respect each other. She’s not kicking me out the house or making me sleep on the floor. It could come in the next five years! It could come,” he joked.

Barely three weeks after trumpeting news that she was expecting her first child, rapstress Coi Leray has fans worried that her hitmaking boyfriend (and father of her child) Trippie Redd has been unfaithful.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (January 22), the ‘Players‘ femcee uploaded a surprising and cryptic post to her Instagram stories.
“Nothing worst than being cheated on,” she told her 7.6 million followers on the platform. “I wouldn’t wisht his pain on my worst enemy.”
Although she didn’t specify that she had been the victim of infidelity (or that Redd was the person who committed it), her follow-up post – though equally cryptic – seemed to lend another clue that the issue is one plaguing her currently.
The IG posts skyrocketed her name to trending status on X (formerly known as Twitter) just hours after hitting the Web – a result of thousands of social media users weighing in on the topic with some even suggesting the Rap diva terminate her pregnancy and relationship with Trippie.

Jeannie Mai and Jeezy’s Post-Divorce Drama Heats Up Over Personal Belongings
Jeannie Mai and Jeezy’s divorce saga continues to make headlines, as new details emerge about a heated showdown outside Jeezy’s Georgia home. The former couple, who finalized their divorce in June 2024 after two years of marriage, are now locked in a tense dispute over personal items that Jeannie sought to retrieve from their shared home.
According to court documents, Jeannie, 46, arrived at Jeezy’s residence in December 2024 to collect her belongings, including Emmy awards, photos, handbags, and other sentimental items. However, what should have been a straightforward process turned into a confrontation involving police intervention.
Jeezy’s Concerns Over Privacy
Jeezy, 47, had reportedly placed Jeannie’s belongings in boxes and stored them in the garage. While the rapper initially agreed to let her collect the items, he later raised objections, citing safety and privacy concerns. Jeezy claimed he was uncomfortable allowing Jeannie access to the house, accusing her of attempting to harm his career in the past and speculating she might plant recording devices.
Jeannie, however, denied these accusations through her legal team. She emphasized that her sole intention was to retrieve her property and ensure nothing was left behind. “The police were not called to make a scene but to report that the court order was being violated,” her lawyer stated.
The Day of the Dispute
On the day of the retrieval, Jeezy’s house manager, acting on his orders, denied Jeannie and her movers access to the garage. Even after police arrived to mediate the situation, the house manager introduced a new hurdle, requiring Jeannie’s team to sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA) before entering the property. Jeannie’s lawyer argued that no such condition was stipulated in the court order.
When Jeannie finally gained access to the garage, she discovered her belongings in disarray. Boxes were soaked with water, and some items, including awards, were damaged or broken. Mouse traps and signs of rodent activity added to the frustration, with Jeannie’s lawyer calling Jeezy’s treatment of her property “disrespectful and inexcusable.”
Mounting Legal Tensions
This incident is just the latest in a series of post-divorce disputes between the two. Jeannie has previously accused Jeezy of failing to comply with their divorce settlement, including allegedly withholding funds for daycare and rent expenses. Jeezy has denied these claims, countering that Jeannie did not provide adequate receipts.
Both sides have described each other as “angry” and “revengeful,” with Jeannie’s team arguing that Jeezy’s actions show a pattern of defiance toward court orders. Sexyy Red is beefin’ with Martin Luther King Jr.‘s daughter after posting an AI-image of herself dancing with the late Civil Rights legend.Here’s what went down … in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Sexyy Red posted on X a generated pic of herself dancing up close to the late activist.
She also uploaded a photo of herself, dressed in a plunging red dress, photoshopped next to MLK during the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
While Sexyy Red’s uploads got over 50K likes, one person was less than pleased by the bold tribute … Bernice King, the youngest child of MLK and fellow Civil Rights leader Coretta Scott King.As Bernice put it online … Sexyy Red’s post was “intentionally distasteful, dishonoring, deplorable, and disrespectful” to not just the King family but to MLK himself.
She added … “[My father] is not here to respond himself because he was assassinated for working for your civil and human rights and to end war and poverty.”Before signing off her note, Bernice advised the rapper to delete the post … and it appears Sexyy Red heard BK’s message loud and clear, as she’s since deleted one of her uploads.Though, not everyone thinks Sexyy Red was in the wrong … even rapper Blueface‘s mom called on Bernice to apologize to SR for the shade.
Sexxy Red has issued an apology to Bernice King, the daughter of Martin Luther King Jr., after sharing an edited image of her with the late civil rights leader. The controversial post, which was removed shortly after, was intended to mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The image, created using A.I., depicted Sexxy Red and MLK dancing in a nightclub, leading to immediate backlash online. Bernice King, who is an activist, voiced her criticism, calling the post “intentionally distasteful, dishonoring, deplorable, and disrespectful to my family and my father.”
In her response on social media, Bernice explained that the post trivialized her father’s legacy, emphasizing the sacrifices he made for civil rights and social justice.
“Please don’t project your thoughts onto me,” she wrote, adding that she didn’t see Sexxy Red as “a ‘degenerate,’ ‘ghetto,’ or ‘trash,’” but was confused by the inappropriate use of his image.
Sexxy Red quickly recognized the mistake, responding with an apology, stating, “You ain’t wrong, never meant to disrespect your family my apologies. Just resposted something I saw that I thought was innocent.”

A$AP Rocky is headed for court on gun charges … the Grammy-nominated rapper just turned down a plea deal from L.A. prosecutors, opting to face a jury trial instead.L.A. County prosecutors offered him a deal — if Rocky pled guilty to one of two felony charges, he’d serve 180 days in jail, and he’d get a seven-year suspended sentence, with three years on probation. But, AR told a judge today he’s decided to decline to take the deal. Rocky could be sentenced to up to 24 years in jail if found guilty in a trial.We caught AR on the way into court this morning, but he didn’t offer any comment.Rocky — legal name Rakim Mayers — is accused of firing a gun 4 times at a former friend at a hotel in Hollywood in 2021, accompanied by other men.
As we told you … Terell Ephron, AKA A$AP Relli, part of the A$AP Mob — has gone on record claiming Rocky threatened to kill him before he allegedly pulled the trigger that night. Relli was treated at the time for a minor injury to his hand.
Rocky’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, now says the weapon was a prop gun — a starter pistol — used for show.More than 100 people were under consideration for the 12-person jury … the trial is expected to begin this week in downtown Los Angeles.

Ana Navarro isn’t holding back on Snoop Dogg for performing at Donald Trump‘s inauguration.
During a recent episode of The View, Navarro and co-host Sunny Hostin were critical of rappers like Nelly and Snoop for offering their services to the new commander-in-chief’s inaugural ball. Navarro called out the Hip-Hop icon for seemingly drawing a line in the sand against Donald Trump back in 2017 but then reversing course in 2025. Ana compared Snoop Dogg’s actions to that of a “trained seal” and declared that the California native “has changed.”
“The thing that really, I think, was spotlighting Snoop is because of the things that Snoop Dogg said 10 days before the [Trump] inaugural in 2017,” Navarro stated. “And so look, if you opposed and stood up against Trump in 2017, but you were there now, if you spoke up against Trump January 7th, 2021, but you were there now applauding him like a trained seal… Donald Trump has not changed. You’ve changed.”
The segment also featured a clip from Keith Boykin, a former Clinton White House aide, who bashed recording artists for performing at the inauguration. Boykin brought up the fact that Donald Trump “attacked Black people” during his time in and out of the office and implied that Snoop Dogg and Nelly were “dishonoring [Black] people when you go and perform for this man.” Hostin agreed with Boykin’s sentiments, saying, “This is who Donald Trump is.”
On the contrary, The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin argued that she is refraining from slamming any artists because performing at the inauguration is more of a tradition than a political statement.
“I don’t come for the artists. It’s the same way I felt about Carrie Underwood. I think that people see it as part of American tradition to be part of this. They can issue statements if they want to clarify what their views are on Trump. I don’t like coming for the artists,” Griffin said. “I think if you feel like people need to be boycotting Donald Trump, which I disagree with, I’d go to the politicians.”
As stated by Navarro, Snoop Dogg was once upon a time vehemently against Donald Trump. Back in 2017, the Doggystyle emcee uploaded several videos calling out “Uncle Tom a** ni**as” who performed for the controversial figure at that time.
“Which one of your jigaboo a** ni**as going to do it?” Snoop asked, wondering who else would perform for the president’s 2017 inauguration. “I’m waiting for you to do so I can roast the f**k out of you.”
In another rant attached to Trump calling for former NFL player Marshawn Lynch to be suspended for sitting during the national anthem, Snoop unloaded on the disgraced businessman, calling him every curse word under the sun.
“They should suspend your dumba**, motherf**ker. F**k, all the goofy sh*t you do everyday,” he said. “When you gonna get suspended, motherf**ker? F**k you, I’m with Marshawn Lynch, ni**a. Stand up for the Mexican motherf**king national anthem. We f**k with Mexicans, n***a. [They’re] the homies.”
