Michael B. Jordan Breaks Silence about Jonathan Majors

0

Michael B. Jordan has addressed his relationship with Creed III co-star Jonathan Majors following Majors’ assault and harassment conviction. Majors was convicted in connection with a 2023 domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Although he faced charges, the actor was sentenced to probation and required to complete 52 weeks of a domestic abuse intervention program, avoiding jail time.

Since the conviction, Majors’ film Magazine Dreams was initially shelved by Fox Searchlight, though it is now set for a release in select theatres next month after nearly two years. The actor also lost his role as Kang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

In a recent interview with GQ, Jordan spoke out about the situation for the first time, calling it a “tough situation.” He expressed support for his friend, saying, “But he’s doing great, just got engaged. I’m proud of his resilience and his strength through it all, and [his] handling [of] it. I’m glad he’s good. That’s my boy.”

When asked if he would work with Majors again, Jordan responded with a definitive, “Yes. Yes.” Despite the controversy, Jordan has shown continued support for his co-star, underscoring their strong friendship.

What Is Feeld? Learn More About the Dating App

No matter who you are, creating a dating app profile is an exercise in vulnerability: You must identify yourself, along with what you’re seeking, and rest on the hope that there are people out there who like the same things you do. But many apps (yes, even some of the best dating apps out there) are too rigid when it comes to gender and sexual orientation, leaving many queer or gender nonconforming singles feeling excluded. This is why many gravitate to the Feeld app.

But first, what is Feeld, exactly? A play on “field” and “feelings,” Feeld was built on the notion that there’s nothing less predictable or less binary than human desire. What started as a safe space to find a threesome has since become a safe space for anyone — no matter how you identify — to find whatever it is they’re looking for. Though you’ve likely heard chatter about it already, read what Feeld is all about, below.

What Is Feeld? Here’s What the Dating App Is All About

1. Greater Gender Options

Whether you use he, she, they, X, or other pronouns — or are still exploring — Feeld offers a place for all human beings to find what their hearts want by offering more than 20 gender identities, 20 sexualities, and shared profiles for polyamorous couples. The company also expresses a commitment to adding new gender identities swiftly and welcomes write-ins for more.

And despite the current administration’s hostility towards LGBTQ+ people, Feeld is sticking to its pledge, with CEO Ana Kirova recently telling Wired, “We remain dedicated to nurturing an environment where everyone can be and express themselves authentically, respectfully, and without fear of discrimination, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation.”

2. A Conversation Safe Zone

“It’s about creating a safe space,” Cathy Keen, community and events manager at Feeld, tells PS. The company’s mission is to “normalize conversations around sexuality,” and part of doing so means allowing people to be as forthcoming as they’d like. Keen adds, “It’s just as safe for someone who is interested in learning new information as it is for someone who’s established in exactly who they are and what they want.”

Whether you’re a couple looking for a third, a single looking for a couple, or someone curious about exploring their sexuality, you can dip a toe in and simply have conversations with other open-minded people in a safe space. A profile can be as brief as, “I’m interested in learning more,” and conversations unfold from there.

3. The Feeld Community

Feeld also has robust community monitoring efforts, and the safety guidelines go beyond a standard agreement. The company offers gentle but clear reminders on the website like, “In this space, we approach each other with openness, curiosity, tolerance, and respect—regardless of differences.”

The guidelines also make it clear that no one owes anyone anything with a healthy breakdown on consent including, “Both online and offline, active consent is a cornerstone of Feeld. Consent is an unambiguous ‘yes’: freely given, without coercion, without manipulation, not in a state of incapacitation.”

4. A Feeld User’s Experience

These efforts resonate with the active user base, which is growing daily. Gender nonconforming model Rain Dove previously spoke to PS about Feeld being their preferred dating app. “I grew up in an era where there wasn’t a language for my identity, and like many ’90s kids, I took to the internet to find answers,” Dove said. “I’d go on sites like Plenty of Fish and ask people if I might be gay.”

Dove called Feeld “ideal” because it’s not a hookup app exclusively, although they clarified there isn’t anything wrong with those apps, either. Dove added, “But it offers what I was looking for years ago on Plenty of Fish, which is the opportunity to find other people who have these vulnerable and marginalized identities, and become part of a community.”

5. It Works For the “Basics,” Too

Feeld isn’t in the business of discriminating against anyone, even those who might be looking for something a little more traditional. I joined to see if there was anyone for me, simply stating that I “enjoy dating and am ever-curious about people,” and right away, three matches who were just my type popped up.

One match immediately messaged me to politely ask about my interests. The other two messaged me within 24 hours and also wanted to hear about my thoughts and feelings. To a tried-and-true Tinderella who was getting pretty tired of “Hey cutie,” this felt groundbreaking.

So whether you’re a cisgender hetero like me, gender nonconforming, someone else altogether, or maybe you’re not sure yet, there’s a place where you can feel free to form connections however you see fit.

How to Get Over a Breakup

0

The circumstances around every breakup are unique. Sometimes the passion fizzles out, or you decided to leave for a chance at a healthier partner or relationship. Other times, a breakup happens despite still being in love with a good partner, and an incompatibility or life circumstance means you must go your separate ways. Regardless of the reason (and sometimes there isn’t a clear reason why you or another person want to leave), losing a relationship can be painful — but there are things you can do after a breakup to start feeling better.

“Breakups are so difficult because we are hard-wired to form strong social bonds,” certified dating and relationship coach Lisa Van Loo tells PS. “We have evolved to have a deep desire to form intimate relationships with others. Historically, if we didn’t have close bonds, our chances of survival would have been greatly reduced. When a relationship ends, it can feel like we are losing something that is essential for our physical and mental well-being.”

It can be helpful to think about a breakup in terms of grief, but you’re also allowed to feel relief, freedom, and excitement for your new life as a single person. Regardless of who ended the relationship, most people will feel the emotional impact of this significant change — and will need to learn how to get over a breakup.

PS spoke to Van Loo and certified relationship coach Angelika Koch about how to cope with a breakup in the healthiest ways possible. Ahead, you’ll find strategies to find support, heal your heartbreak in a helpful way, and move on.

How to Get Over a Breakup, According to Experts

Feel Your Feelings

An important part of accepting the end of a relationship is to give yourself permission to feel the pain, anger, guilt, and messy emotions that come along with a breakup.

For those who have been broken up with, Van Loo says people often feel lied to, manipulated, or rejected. It’s OK to feel blindsided by a breakup and to stew in these feelings of rejection. On the other hand are those who initiated the breakup themselves. Van Loo says feelings of guilt are common, as is feeling bad about hurting someone you care about.

In either case, remind yourself that you deserve to be with someone who is 100 percent invested in being with you and who you want to be 100 percent invested in. In other words, partners deserve their feelings and commitment to be reciprocated — and if that’s not the case, it may be time to break up.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to grieve and process your pain. “There’s so much emphasis on being strong and not caring these days, but to move on, you need to grieve almost like you would a death. Someone is no longer a part of your life. Acknowledge that, and allow yourself to go through all the emotions,” Koch says.

If you have a hard time giving yourself permission to feel, there are some things you can do after a breakup to tap into those emotions: try journaling, listening to a breakup playlist, watching a movie, or moving your body.

Seek Support

When mourning your breakup, you don’t have to deal with your feelings and heartbreak alone. You can seek support from friends, family, and professional mental health experts.

Friends and family can provide comfort, especially because they know you well and are invested in your well-being. Your support network can also act as a buffer if you feel tempted to text your ex — if that’s the case, you can text a supportive friend instead and ask for their help. As always, you should be mindful of leaning on your friends and always ask if they have the capacity to support and listen to you in the moment.

Leaning on your support system can be instrumental in getting over a breakup, but it’s not the only option. You can also consider seeking therapy.

“Everyone should spend time in therapy, if they can, so if you haven’t had professional support, during a breakup could be a great start,” Van Loo says. “Professionals can speed up your process and help you learn and grow from your experience, supporting you in all areas of life, not just the breakup. It can be life-changing work; once you learn the tools they teach you, you have them for life.”

Put Yourself Out There

It’s really easy to isolate yourself after a breakup, but more free time away from your ex is also an opportunity to reinvest in your hobbies, friends, and own well-being.

Investing in other relationships and activities will help you adapt to a new life without your partner. Each relationship has its own “culture” of how you spend time, what you do together, and a shared rhythm of life. Once that culture is lost or disrupted, it’s important to fill your life back up and rebuild a new world with new activities and passions without the influence of your old relationship.

Put yourself out there by joining a class, volunteering at a local organization, seeing a friend you fell out of touch with, or simply taking yourself out to a place you’ve been dying to check out. To get you started, here are more ideas of things to do after a breakup.

  • Start planning a solo trip or a weekend trip with a friend — it can help to have something to look forward to, and maybe even help you meet someone new.
  • Join a gym or set a fitness goal. Pursuing an attainable goal and working toward it offers a sense of accomplishment that can do a lot for your self-esteem. If you’d rather not do so alone, there are many local running, swimming, or biking clubs out there that you can join.
  • Join a local community garden, or adopt some new houseplants. Taking the time to nurture a garden or a few of your favorite plants can be rewarding — you can quite literally enjoy the fruits of your labor and feel accomplished.
  • Go thrifting. Donate or recycle your old clothes (especially the kind that remind you of your ex or don’t make you feel great), and let a new wardrobe boost your self-esteem.

Let Go of the Idea of “Closure”

Both Koch and Van Loo agree: closure might not be a realistic or healthy goal when healing your heartbreak.

Often, closure is seen as something your ex gives you, meaning the power to heal is left squarely in the hands of another person. This type of closure can actually be counterproductive, as you’re still looking to that person to soothe your pain. “Another person can’t give you that; only you can work through the pain you feel,” Van Loo says. “You still have to learn to self-soothe.”

Instead, focus on being proactive about the things you can control, and take your healing into your own hands. Learning how to work through your pain is what will ultimately bring healing, Van Loo says.

Living Your Best Life: 6 Guidelines for Effective Communication in a Relationship

0

Here comes the actual hard work of maintaining and strengthening a healthy connection. According to relationship expert and author of F the Fairy Tale Damona Hoffman, communication is one of the four pillars of long-term compatibility.

She believes everything else can be figured out if you know how to talk to your partner and, more importantly, how to listen. Below are some specific tips from Hoffman for practicing intentional communication with the love of your life.

1. Start with Self-Reflection

Before you can share your desires, you need to understand them yourself. Take some time to think about what you truly want and why it matters to you. When you’re clear on your feelings, you’ll be better equipped to communicate them effectively.

2. Pick the Right Moment

Timing is everything. Don’t bring up sensitive topics when stressed, distracted, in a rush…or bed. Instead, find a calm, relaxed time when you both feel connected. A good rule of thumb? Approach essential conversations when you can give each other your full attention, and if your partner approaches you when you’re not ready, say, “This conversation is important to me. Can we reconnect when I can give you my undivided attention?”

3. Use “I” Statements

Frame your desires in a way that focuses on your feelings rather than placing blame or sounding critical. For example, say, “I feel most loved when we spend quality time together,” instead of, “You never make time for me.” This keeps the conversation constructive and avoids putting your partner on the defensive.

4. Be Specific and Action-Oriented

Don’t leave your partner guessing — be clear about what you want and how they can help meet that need. Instead of saying, “I wish we had more romance,” try, “I’d love it if we could have a date night once a week.” Specificity turns abstract desires into actionable goals and inspires your partner to show up for you.

5. Create Space for Their Input

Communication is a two-way street. After sharing your desires, invite your partner to share their thoughts and feelings. Ask open-ended questions like, “How does that sound to you?” or “What’s your perspective on this?” and then PAUSE and wait for their reply. Please don’t rush to fill in the space or anticipate their answer. This ensures the conversation feels collaborative, not one-sided.

6. Reassure and Express Appreciation

When communicating your desires, make it clear that you’re coming from a place of love and connection – not criticism. Reassure your partner that you value and appreciate their effort in the relationship, and sandwich any requests or feedback between two loving statements.

Kanye West and Bianca Censori End Relationship

0

Welp… there ya go…

Kanye West and Bianca Censori have called it quits, with reports indicating the couple is heading toward divorce. According to TMZ, both parties have already contacted divorce attorneys, following the end of their whirlwind romance.

The split comes just days after the couple made headlines at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where Kanye encouraged Bianca to reveal a nearly see-through dress on the red carpet. They were later seen engaging in PDA at a Grammys after-party, but the relationship quickly soured.

In the days following the event, Kanye went on a troubling rant on X, posting explicit content that led to Elon Musk censoring his account. Kanye also stirred controversy with a Super Bowl commercial promoting a shirt featuring a swastika, which was later removed from his Yeezy website.

Kanye and Bianca, who secretly married in January 2023, had previously enjoyed a public relationship marked by revealing outfits and a global romance. However, it appears their time together has come to an end.

10 Best Big-Screen Black Rom-Com Couples

0

You just never know who could end up pairing up in a rom-com when it comes to Hollywood. Take Method Man and Kelly Rowland for example. Two-and-a-half decades ago, the Wu-Tang Clan rapper was riding high off his first feature film, How High, so much so that he dissed Kelly and the girls of Destiny’s Child on a handshake sometime around 2001.

Almost 25 years later, the two will soon be co-starring together in a romantic comedy by Amazon MGM Studios titled Relationship Goals.

More info on the upcoming film below, via Deadline:

Relationship Goals

“‘Relationship Goals’ is a funny and inspiring romantic comedy on finding lasting love and sustaining a healthy relationship at every stage of courtship. The book, based on Todd’s viral sermon series about dating, marriage, and sex, spent 13 straight weeks on the NY Times bestsellers list and debuted at No. 1 on Amazon, according to the streamer.

The script was written by Laura Lekkos (‘Somewhere Only We Know’), with prior drafts by Michael Elliot (‘R&B’) and Cory Tynan (‘R&B’). Rowland and Bart Lipton will executive produce while DeVon Franklin (‘Flamin’ Hot,’ ‘R&B’) will produce. Linda Mendoza (‘Survival of the Thickest,’ ‘Harlem’) is set to direct.”

With the progression both Rowland and Meth have made in their respective transitions from music to movies, we can’t imagine a better duo to showcase a little Black love on the big screen. Actually, the new pairing got us thinking of some classic Hollywood duos in Black rom-coms that showcased some of the best portrayals in terms of what it can feel like to be in love and all the emotions that come in-between. Whether you’re preparing for a Valentine’s Day movie marathon or just looking for some good Black cinema to watch during downtime on President’s Day, stroll down memory lane with us as we revisit the cinematic greats.

Issa Rae Pulls Out of Kennedy Center Event Over Donald Trump’s Involvement

0

Issa Rae has decided to cancel her upcoming event at the Kennedy Center following the announcement of Donald Trump’s appointment as chairman of the venue’s board. The actress, writer, and producer cited concerns over what she sees as an infringement on the values upheld by the iconic institution, which has long been known for celebrating artists of diverse backgrounds across various mediums.

In a statement explaining her decision, Rae expressed her disappointment: “Unfortunately, due to what I believe to be an infringement on the values of an institution that has faithfully celebrated artists of all backgrounds through all mediums, I’ve decided to cancel my appearance at this venue.”

Rae’s cancellation comes in the wake of growing backlash surrounding Trump’s controversial appointment, which has sparked debate over his influence on cultural spaces and the arts. Rae, known for her outspoken advocacy for diversity and inclusion, has made it clear that her decision is rooted in her commitment to these principles.

The Kennedy Center has yet to respond publicly to Rae’s decision, but her move adds to a growing list of artists and public figures who have voiced opposition to Trump’s leadership in cultural institutions. Rae’s cancellation is seen as a powerful statement in defense of the values she believes the Kennedy Center should continue to uphold.

Apollo Nida Served with Divorce Papers

0

Apollo Nida, the ex-husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks, has been served with divorce papers by his current wife, Sherien Copes, who accuses him of adultery and cruel treatment. According to court documents obtained exclusively by In Touch, Sherien filed for divorce on February 7, 2025, citing an irretrievably broken marriage and claiming there was no hope for reconciliation.

In her filing, Sherien, 46, listed their marriage date as October 14, 2022, and the separation date as November 1, 2023. She claims that Apollo repeatedly committed adultery throughout their relationship and subjected her to emotional and physical abuse. Sherien further alleges that Apollo “intentionally and continually deserted” her for over a year, and refused to seek professional help for his mental health issues.

Sherien is not seeking alimony and is requesting the division of marital property and debts. She also included an alleged settlement agreement, signed by both parties in October 2024, which calls for them to continue living in the marital home until they both find new residences. The agreement includes a permanent restraining order against Apollo, preventing him from harassing or stalking Sherien.

Apollo has denied the allegations, telling In Touch that much of the language in the documents is false and that they will address the matter in court. The legal battle between the couple follows a volatile incident in March 2024, when Apollo was arrested on charges of simple assault after an altercation with Sherien. She accused him of pulling her hair and pushing her against a refrigerator, while Apollo claimed the argument centered around a dispute over a phone.
