Brittany Renner Shares Her Experience as a Muslim, Sober, and Abstinent Woman

Brittany Renner is sticking to her transformed lifestyle! It’s been more than half a year since she’s had an alcoholic drink and engaged in steamy bedroom activities.

Renner Is All Smiles While Speaking About Being Muslim

In her video update on social media, Renner said that joining Instagram in 2012 was for validation and male attention. Now, she feels like she no longer needs either of those things; she acknowledged that her posting frequency has been inconsistent.

Brittany Renner also said that she “loves” being Muslim after converting five months ago. She clarified that her last drink was six months ago, and she’d been abstinent for eight months. Not only that! The former sex-positive influencer said she also changed her number four months ago. “So you went green, now you know why,” she said in the clip. 

“This has been a really beautiful purification process for me of the mind, heart, body, and soul and an opportunity to meet myself deeper. What I have discovered is how deserving I have always been and am. Even with wearing the hijab, trusting so much so, that who is meant to see me will see me,” Brittany stated.

What Brittany Renner Said About Her Islamic Lifestyle

Last August, Brittany Renner told her supporters that the universe was calling on her to choose a conservative route. That included going from a skin-on-the-feed girly to covering her hair and body in more clothed styles. Within a month, Renner said she was suffering financial issues because of her new look.

“I’ve gone through a lot of changes internally, and as a result, my outer world has completely crumbled,” Brittany Renner said, stifling a laugh. “Wow! I’m incredibly uncertain in just about every area. I have no idea where I’m going to live or how I’m going to provide for my son. But Allah has moved mountains for me and I trust that this will be no different.”

Still, it appears Brittany Renner found her way because, in the months following, she shared more about her life. In October, she explained why she chose to follow Islam.  The following month, Brittany shared that she and her son moved to California via road trip. Renner welcomed her former boyfriend, P.J. Washington, in 2021. She’s even continued sharing content for FashionNova in her more conservative looks.

Juelz Santana has broken his silence regarding the ongoing feud between his fellow Dipset members, Cam’ron and Jim Jones. In a recent interview with Art of Dialogue, Santana shared his disappointment over the public rift, stating he does not “condone” their behavior and hopes for reconciliation.

Reflecting on the situation, Santana expressed his frustration with the feud. “It’s not something I condone,” he said. “I’m not rooting for or sitting here watching and happy that it’s going on. I’m definitely not at all. Both of them are still my brothers at the end of the day.” He continued, “Nobody wins when the family feuds, no matter what we’re going through behind the scenes.”

Mary J. Blige has revealed that she “fired” someone over the leak of her ‘For My Fans Tour’ setlist.

As reported, the Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul vented her frustration when the part of the setlist for the trek was spilled onto the internet weeks before the concert series kicked off.

Speaking with PEOPLE, MJB opened up about the situation.

She said:

“Yeah, I was p*ssed, and I fired someone because of it.

We worked too hard and the setlist is the most private thing.

It was unprofessional. Obviously it was somebody within the camp, and they risked their whole life just to get a couple of likes.”

Assuring fans that there is more up her sleeve, Blige gushed:

“Only a little bit got leaked, and that’s not even half. People don’t even know what else is coming.”

If there’s one thing Netflix gon’ do, it’s charge us more. The streaming giant just hit 302 million subscribers worldwide, but instead of showing love to the people who helped them get there, they’re running up the price—again.

After racking up 19 million new subscribers in the last few months of 2024—the biggest jump in the company’s history—Netflix announced that they’re increasing prices across the U.S. and Canada. And if you were thinking about cutting back on expenses this year, Netflix just made that decision a little easier.

What’s Behind the Price Hike?

Netflix ain’t struggling at all. In fact, they’re winning big. One of the biggest reasons for their latest success is their recent push into live events.

The Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight in November brought in 108 million viewers, making it the most-watched sports event on a streaming platform—ever.
On Christmas Day, Netflix hosted two NFL games, averaging 30 million viewers per game, which made history as the most-streamed football games of all time.
Oh, and let’s not forget Squid Game season two. That alone had 68 million views in its first week, making it the platform’s biggest premiere to date.

With numbers like that, Netflix clearly ain’t hurting for money. But instead of letting us live, they’re squeezing a little more out of our pockets.

How Much More Are We Paying?
Netflix is increasing the price for almost every subscription plan:

Standard (no ads): $15.49 → $17.99 (+$2)
Standard (with ads): $6.99 → $7.99 (+$1)
Premium (4K quality): $22.99 → $24.99 (+$2)

Netflix says the extra money is to “invest in programming” and “deliver more value.” But let’s be real—this is just another way for them to get deeper in our pockets.

Netflix Is Making Bank
This price increase ain’t about survival—it’s about getting richer. Netflix just reported $10 billion in revenue last quarter, breaking records.
Their profit jumped 52%, and they announced a $15 billion stock buyback, which basically means more money for investors, not us.
Meanwhile, the average consumer is just trying to figure out which streaming service is worth keeping. And Netflix isn’t alone in this—Disney+, Max, Peacock, and Apple TV+ have all raised their prices in the last year. The days of affordable streaming are long gone.

Russell Simmons Accused of Owing Over $3 Million in Unpaid Sexual Assault Settlement Payments

According to new court documents filed in New York County Supreme Court on January 24, Russell Simmons is facing accusations that he owes more than $3 million to two women, Toni Sallie and Alexia Norton Jones, for unpaid sexual assault settlement payments. The women had reached confidential agreements with Simmons in 2023, but now allege that the music mogul has failed to pay them the agreed-upon amounts.

Sallie, who first accused Simmons of sexual assault in a 2017 New York Times article, claims that Simmons owes her around $3 million. She alleges that he sexually assaulted her in his Manhattan apartment in the late ’80s after their relationship ended. The settlement she signed with Simmons was intended to be confidential, but Sallie now asserts that Simmons has only paid $60,000, and she seeks the remaining $2.94 million, along with 20% annual interest that has accrued since February 2024.

Norton Jones, who accused Simmons of assaulting her on a date in 1990, reportedly settled for $300,000 in an anonymous agreement. However, she alleges that Simmons has yet to pay her the full settlement, and her agreement also did not include an admission of wrongdoing on his part.

The court filings highlight ongoing issues with Simmons failing to fulfill settlement payments, as similar accusations were made last October by three other women in New York County Supreme Court. At press time, Simmons has not publicly responded to the latest claims.

While the settlements themselves remain confidential in terms of the specific allegations, the women’s pursuit of the remaining owed amounts raises questions about accountability and whether Simmons will face further legal action in the near future.

During his latest stand-up performance, the comedian decided to take shots at actor Martin Lawrence. Known to have an outspoken nature, Williams didn’t hold back as he focused on Lawrence’s health.

The situation went down when Williams took the stage to do his usual routine. Of course, he delivered catchy punchlines and hilarious jokes, but things shifted once Lawrence was mentioned. Addressing the silent whispers surrounding Lawrence’s health, Williams claimed that the actor might be hiding a stroke.

“Martin Lawrence keeps saying he didn’t have a stroke. But every time he does an interview, he looks like he had a stroke,” Williams said. He continued, “Now why won’t somebody say something?! Ain’t nothing wrong with having a stroke and getting better. The f**k are we hiding it for?”

Despite the constant concerns, Lawrence repeatedly denied having a stroke and shut down any questions regarding his health.

Still, fans couldn’t shake the feeling of Lawrence suffering from some health issues. Many noted that in interviews, the beloved actor showed signs of difficulty, but followed the unspoken rule: don’t speak on someone’s health. Nonetheless, what makes Williams’ statement even more interesting is their rumored tension. Though neither one of the men has publicly confirmed the feud, many fans have speculated that Williams and Lawrence have had an underlying rivalry for years.
