Afroman is suing former Adams County Sheriff's Sgt. Brian Newland, claiming his earlier defamation case was baseless and forced him to rack up legal fees and emotional distress. Newland and other deputies sued Afroman in 2023 over social media posts and music videos using surveillance footage from a 2022 search of his Ohio property. The deputies sought 3.9 million dollars combined but a jury found Afroman not liable earlier this year, determining he did not defame them.

Marcellus Wiley is denying abuse allegations made by his estranged wife, Annemarie Wiley, and says he plans to bring the receipts to court. He claims to have gathered videos, photographs, text messages, emails, and other evidence that he believes contradict her account.

Connor Murphy, the controversial American fitness influencer known for his bodybuilding videos and "looksmaxxing" content, died in an apparent drowning in Thailand on July 7. He was 32. Police in Thailand's Samut Prakan province were called to a luxury rental property after reports that a man was "acting erratically." Murphy reportedly ran toward a nearby lake, jumped into the water, and swam for several minutes before appearing to become exhausted and disappearing beneath the surface. Rescue divers later recovered his body about 20 meters from shore.
