Okay, so let’s talk about the internet buzzing right now. Two viral petitions are pushing to have Nicki Minaj deported back to Trinidad, her birth country. One petition has blown past 80,000 signatures, and another is quickly nearing 40,000. This whole situation exploded after the Queen of Rap’s controversial interview with Turning Point USA CEO, Erika Kirk.
The first petition, originally launched back on July 9, 2025, really gained steam after Nicki Minaj publicly praised former President Donald Trump in November. She even thanked him during a UN speech and doubled down on her stance while he was reportedly threatening Nigerian officials. This allegiance led to her sitting down with TPUSA’s Erika Kirk, widow of Charlie Kirk, at AmericaFest in Phoenix, Arizona, in December, where they both lauded Trump and Vice President JD Vance. At last count, that petition now stands at a staggering 81,020 signatures.
The organizer of the first campaign, listed as “Pedonika Minaj,” didn’t hold back. They tagged the White House, ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement), the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation), and the U.S. Military on the petition page. They also highlighted photos of Minaj alongside mugshots of her husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a registered convicted sex offender.
Just recently, on December 27, 2025, a second petition titled “Deport Nicki Minaj Back To Trinidad” popped up and is quickly gaining steam, already hitting nearly 40,000 signatures (38,597 to be exact) by Thursday evening, January 1. While social media is in an uproar over these mounting calls for her removal from the U.S., the immigrant rapper herself has stayed quiet.
This newer campaign was launched by “Tristan Hamilton,” a self-described “16-year-old who stands up for what he believes.” He’s directly addressed the petition to President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. Hamilton’s petition lays out his concerns clearly, writing:
“Nicki Minaj’s actions and words have taken a turn that has left many of her supporters and those who once found solace in her music feeling deeply betrayed. Once a voice for the LGBTQ+ community, she has now flipped her stance, asserting outdated and harmful notions such as “boys should just be boys.” These statements aren’t just insensitive; they undermine the very foundations of a community that looked up to her for advocacy and understanding.
This is personal for those of us who watched Nicki rise as a beacon of hope, only to feel abandoned by her shift in values. Her public platform carries weight and responsibility, and her recent statements are a stark contrast to the solidarity she once showed, leaving many feeling deflated and disillusioned. Furthermore, Nicki’s status in the United States is not based on citizenship, which raises questions about her continued presence here despite her divisive actions and statements.
Deporting Nicki Minaj back to Trinidad would serve as a reminder that public figures need to be accountable for their words and the broader impact they have on diverse communities. It’s not just about one person’s fall from grace; it’s about holding everyone to a standard of compassion and consistency, especially when they possess significant influence.
Sign this petition to urge immigration authorities to review Nicki Minaj’s residency status in the United States and consider deporting her back to Trinidad as a response to her harmful rhetoric. Let’s stand together to advocate for a community that is inclusive and respectful, leaving no room for abandonment based on outdated ideologies. Every signature counts in making our voices heard and fostering a sphere where public figures can be evaluated on the principles they claim to uphold.”
