Students elevated everyday white tees with creative layering, showed school spirit through crocheted gear, coordinated group fits, and added edge with distressed denim. Pops of color through accessories and unexpected hues brought homecoming looks to life, proving HBCU students know how to turn homecoming into an unforgettable fashion showcase.

A violent shooting erupted near the campus of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, leaving 12 people injured, including six children as young as 11 years old. The chaos broke out around 8:00 PM on Saturday near the intersection of Perry and Manatee streets, following an intense physical altercation between multiple individuals.

At just 10 years old, Richmond native Aleem "The Dream" Saunders took the field at Virginia State University's homecoming dressed in all white, moving alongside the marching band as a drum major-in-training. What began as a childhood fascination with rhythm, sparked by drumming on water buckets as a toddler, has grown into a passion that brought him to the heart of a college football tradition. His mother helped make that dream a reality with a surprise opportunity to experience Virginia State's band up close.

Whether repping their school's signature style or stepping out for a homecoming night on the town, these looks prove that at HBCUs, fashion is always part of the tradition.
