Tiger Woods DUI case is heating up in Florida. Prosecutors are now planning to subpoena the golf legend’s medical records as they build their legal strategy following his March rollover crash near his home in Jupiter Island.
According to court papers filed June 13, the Martin County State’s Attorney’s Office intends to seek records from Cleveland Clinic Martin South Hospital in Stuart, FL, which Woods visited on March 27. They’re specifically requesting documentation of any statements he made regarding alcohol or chemical substance use, along with drug screen results and the name of the person who performed the testing. The subpoena is expected to be formally issued on June 30, with Woods’ attorneys given 10 days to object.
Woods, 50, was arrested March 27 and charged with DUI and property damage after police said he flipped his SUV while trying to pass a pressure cleaning truck. Authorities said he appeared lethargic at the scene. Police alleged Woods registered triple zeroes on a breathalyzer but refused a urinalysis test. Officers also reportedly found two opioid pills in his pocket.
Woods has pleaded not guilty and said he would step away to seek treatment in Zurich, Switzerland. He previously survived a 2021 rollover crash and pleaded guilty to reckless driving after a 2017 DUI arrest. This case continues to draw significant media attention as legal proceedings move forward.
