Big ups to Cam Newton! The former NFL superstar and media personality just welcomed his ninth child into the world! That’s right, nine! He and his girlfriend, actress Jasmin Brown, are now parents to a bouncing baby boy, their second child together.
In a sneak peek from his upcoming appearance on The Tamron Hall Show (airing October 16th), Cam casually shared the joyful news when asked about his family life. Talk about a smooth delivery!
“Oh, he’s already here,” Cam stated with pride, confirming the arrival of his newest family member.
Jasmin, who you might recognize from her role in “Zatima,” announced her pregnancy on Mother’s Day, posting a touching message that read, “Feeling ALL the love, kicks, and elbows. Cheers to our growing tribe.” We love to see Black love and family thriving!
This new addition makes Cam a father of nine – and marks his second child with Jasmin. The couple are already raising their 19-month-old daughter together.
Cam’s ever-expanding family also includes sons Chosen (9), Camidas (7), and Cashmere (6), and daughter Sovereign-Dior (8) with his ex-girlfriend, Kia Proctor. Plus, he’s stepped up to help raise Kia’s daughter Shakira (18).
He also shares son Caesar (6) with LaReina Shaw and lends a hand in raising her son Jaden (19) from a previous relationship. Now that’s what we call family!
Back in April, during his Club Shay Shay appearance, the 36-year-old made it clear that he views all his children as equal: “I proudly say I have eight children—six biologically through me. I don’t believe in stepchildren. What my biological kids get, everybody gets. I don’t have no favorites. I’m raising kings and queens.” Preach!
Cam has always been open about his love for being a dad, telling People earlier this year that his children are his biggest motivation. “They really give me my purpose. They’re my refuge, my peace, my encouragement,” he said. “Did I tell you I want more?”
It looks like the Newton household just got even more lively. Here’s to Cam and Jasmin as they embrace the joys (and sleepless nights!) of parenthood once again. Looks like he’s not slowing down anytime soon! We’re sending all the good vibes their way!
