Cardi B vs Nicki Minaj Feud: X Blowup & Wild Diss Tracks

The beef between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj just reached DEFCON 1. These two rap queens, known for their subtle shade over the years, went full-on head-to-head on X (aka Twitter) Monday night. It was a lyrical showdown, and personal jabs were definitely on the menu. Buckle up, y’all.

So, what sparked the fire? Nicki, always one to stir the pot, seemed to throw shade at Cardi’s new album, “Am I the Drama?”. Now, that album dropped last week and went straight to the top, hitting No. 1 on Billboard and snagging double platinum in its first week. Major flex, right?

“Never provoke a writer while they’re ✍🏾,” Nicki tweeted, while, of course, promoting her own album dropping in 2026. Then came the jab at Cardi’s promotional pricing: “$4.99.” Ouch.

From there, Nicki unleashed a flurry of posts, twisting Cardi’s lyrics from “Magnet” into some, shall we say, *interesting* parodies:

    • “Abcdefgeeeeeeee… SUR GER REE TO LOOK LIKE MEEEEEE.”
    • “Fallin off the charts wit a big bellyyyy / Barefoot, still smellyyyyy / Still. You. Could. Not. outsell. meeeeee.”

And she even gave Cardi the nickname “Barney Dangerous,” playing on her pregnancy and style choices. Shots fired!

But Bardi ain’t one to back down. Cardi, in true Bronx fashion, clapped back, calling Nicki “Cocaine Barbie” and flipping her own “Magnet” bars right back at her:

    • “A B C D E F G / Yor man have to snatch PUSSY / Pussy taste like honey comb / Your bro be touching 12 year olds.”

Cardi also addressed the album sales shade, because, honey, numbers don’t lie:

“It’s not the gag you think… You’ve been in the game 16 years, you need to compare yourself to YOUR peers — Drake, Rihanna, Taylor Swift — not me. I was in high school when you came out.” Now that’s what we call perspective!

Things escalated even further when Nicki brought up Cardi’s pregnancy, her fourth child, with NFL baller Stefon Diggs. Cardi didn’t hesitate to bring up Nicki’s past struggles with fertility:

“Like you wasn’t going to different fertility doctors cuz you couldn’t reproduce from all them percs scrambling your eggs. NOT ALLEGEDLY … Lord protect my babies.” Whew.

Meanwhile, social media was straight-up feasting. Ice Spice dropped a shady “tee-hee” emoji, and JT from City Girls went all-in, calling Cardi a “dirty non-talented rat” and clowning her album price as “hot dog” prices. The internet does what it does.

Cardi, never one to let it slide, fired back at JT with some fiery bars from “Magnet”:

“Fake friend-ass bitch (Huh) / Clown-ass bitch (Shh) / Your loyalty depends who you around-ass bitch / Backdoor ho, hatin’ on the low-ass bitch.” The shade!

The timeline is now swimming in memes of Barney in heels and Nicki in pink wigs, so clearly, neither side is ready to wave the white flag anytime soon.

What began as album promo spiraled into one of the messiest Twitter beefs hip-hop has ever seen – and of course, the fans are absolutely living for it.
