After seven seasons of bringing the funny to primetime TV, multi-cam comedy ‘The Neighborhood‘ will spin its final block with season 8.
Via an official press release issued Tuesday (March 11), CBS revealed has renewed ‘Neighborhood’ for its eighth and final season.
“The brilliant cast and creative team at ‘The Neighborhood’ led by the incomparable Cedric the Entertainer have brought levity, laughter and poignant storylines to Monday nights for seven incredible seasons,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “’The Neighborhood’ is a strong ratings performer for CBS and one of the top comedies on TV. We believe the show’s loyal fans deserve a proper farewell season full of the trademark humor and heartfelt moments that are synonymous with the series.”
Starring Cedric the Entertainer, Tichina Arnold, Max Greenfield, Beth Behrs, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears and Skye Townsend, the sitcom launched in Fall 2018 and has enjoyed steady ratings captures since its premiere.
While the show’s spinoff centered on characters played by Spears and McKinney is reportedly in the process of being greenlit, no official confirmation has been announced as of time of this report.
