In an emotional statement, Ciara wrote:
“You believed in me and I believed in you! You will forever hold a special place in my heart and I am forever grateful for all the magic we’ve were able to make together. I know it was all God! Heaven has just gained an Angel. I love you so much @DianeMartel_ A.k.a. Miss D! Rest In Paradise.”
She also shared shots of herself on set with Martel, who directed videos such as ‘Promise,‘ ‘Love Sex Magic,’ ‘Ride,’ and this year’s ‘Ecstasy.’ It’s amazing how she brought so much life to Ciara’s already vibrant artistry.
Martel’s other notable work includes Mariah Carey‘s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You,’ Miley Cyrus’ ‘We Can’t Stop,’ Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines,’ Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Genie in a Bottle,’ and Mya‘s ‘Case of the Ex.’ Khia‘s ‘My Neck, My Back,’ too. The range! A true icon behind the camera.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones.
