Bay Area women, take note: if you’re considering giving money to anyone claiming to be a 49ers player, E-40 has some advice. Run it by him first.
The legendary Bay Area rapper pulled up to the BlkCosmo offices this week to discuss E-40‘s take on Daejon Love, the most talked-about story in sports right now. The rapper was direct about who deserves the “49ers” title.
“If he don’t know Water, if he don’t know 40 Water, and he claims 49er, if I ain’t never heard of him or met him, he’s not a Niner,” 40 said.
“They should have asked me before they gave him the money or whatever and all the scamming stuff,” he continued.
Love is accused of defrauding 26 women out of $1.3 million by claiming he was an NFL wide receiver and promising them investment returns. Instead, he allegedly pocketed the cash, and now faces serious criminal charges that could result in years behind bars.
The interview went beyond just the Love situation, though. E-40 broke down his Bay Area athletes Mt. Rushmore, weighed in on the Warriors dynasty, and talked about performing at the Stanford vs. Miami football game—an invite he received directly from Andrew Luck.
