Just months after getting out of prison, the Grammy-nominated artist announced his comeback album Zavier drops March 27 — marking a fresh chapter in his journey.The rapper, whose real name is Willie Maxwell II, is reintroducing himself to the world through his music. Fetty Wap shared that the project reflects growth, reflection, and a whole new mindset after his time behind bars. “I’m just happy and grateful to be back,” he said in a statement. “This new music is a reflection of a new chapter in my life. I just want to bring back good energy and good vibes.”
Alongside the announcement, he dropped a black-and-white trailer showing a more introspective side of himself — opening up about the loneliness he experienced and rediscovering who he truly is beyond the fame.
“When you lose everything, all you got left is the person your mama made you,” he says in the clip. “People call me Fetty, but the people who know me call me Zavier.”
The artist behind hits like “Trap Queen” was released in January after serving time in a federal prison in Minnesota following a 2022 drug case. Right now, he’s completing the remainder of his sentence under home confinement in New Jersey.
Focused on music and personal growth, Fetty says he’s embracing a slower, more meaningful approach to life. “I feel new. I feel rehabilitated,” he shared in a recent interview. “I’m just going to take my time and enjoy life.”
To celebrate the album, Fetty is hitting the road for a series of East Coast shows, starting with a sold-out hometown performance at the Wellmont Theater on April 4, followed by stops in Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania.
