Okay, let’s talk about the latest tea! Former NBA star Iman Shumpert is in the headlines after a woman accused him of some pretty serious stuff: allegedly “dragging her by the wrist and foot” from his home. She claims he did this after she refused to leave, but police didn’t file charges, so now she’s threatening a lawsuit.

According to TMZ Sports, Atlanta police responded to a verbal altercation at Shumpert’s home on November 26. The woman initially alleged he hit her, but a witness quickly jumped in to clarify, saying that claim was “all cap.”

The incident report obtained by TMZ Sports states that officers were dispatched to Shumpert’s Atlanta home around 4:37 AM. Upon arrival, they found the former NBA baller moving a suitcase outside. He repeatedly told police he wanted the woman, identified as Joanna Donnejour, out of his place, saying he’d asked her to “bounce” several times to no avail.

The Allegations: Joanna Donnejour Claims Assault After Refusing to Leave Shumpert’s Home

When officers spoke with Donnejour, she explained that an argument started in Shumpert’s room after he was reportedly talking to another woman. Get this: while they argued about a second woman, a third female was actually present! Donnejour then claimed that during their heated dispute, Shumpert “forcefully removed her” by dragging her “by her wrist and foot toward the stairs.”

Donnejour also told police she had already called for a ride to leave his property. Despite this, she still alleged Shumpert put hands on her and “hit her,” wanting to press charges. But after police spoke with the third woman who was there, they decided against filing any charges.

The witness corroborated that a verbal dispute did occur, but only after Shumpert had asked Donnejour to leave his room twice. She stated he “grabbed Ms. Donnejour by the wrist to escort her out,” emphasizing it wasn’t done aggressively. Police stayed until Donnejour finally left the scene.

Further supporting the lack of charges, police noted that Donnejour had no visible injuries, marks, or bruises. Without concrete evidence to back her claims, officers closed the incident without filing any charges.

Lawsuit Looms? Donnejour Threatens Legal Action, Shumpert Issues Statement

The drama isn’t over yet, though. TMZ Sports even obtained police bodycam footage where Donnejour can be heard telling Shumpert, “see you in court — and on Instagram in the morning.” Shumpert, for his part, released a statement to TMZ Sports, sharing his side:

“Last week, I had friends over and a visitor at my residence was politely asked to leave several times after I witnessed her damaging personal property. The police were called, invited inside and they spoke with multiple people who saw what happened. After assessing the situation, the police instructed her to leave repeatedly. She refused to vacate the property after being asked to leave multiple times and only after the officers escorted her outside did she eventually depart. This matter was quickly closed that night by the police after they did their investigation.”
