Jay-Z and Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin may have 99 problems, but a rocking week of events in New York City isn’t one of them.
The close pals are taking over the city with a series of star-studded celebrations, kicking off with Jay-Z‘s sold-out Yankee Stadium concerts this weekend.

Friday night’s opener set the tone perfectly. Beyoncé cutting Jay-Z’s hair as the opening act became an instant highlight, watched by a crowd packed with Fat Joe, LeBron James, Megan Thee Stallion, Kevin Hart, Ice Spice, Knicks hero OG Anunoby, Jadakiss, and DJ Khaled. Three nights of sold-out shows at the Bronx ballpark meant three chances to catch the magic.
Tonight’s performance will draw Patriots owner Robert Kraft, former Rams running back Todd Gurley, and Rubin himself, all ready to witness another explosive set.

But the Yankee Stadium run is just the warm-up act. This week, New York becomes ground zero for entertainment and sports colliding. The ESPYs arrive Wednesday, produced by Fanatics Studios, followed by Fanatics Fest—a four-day convention takeover at the Jacob Javits Center running Thursday through Sunday.
The lineup reads like a who’s who of culture. Shaquille O’Neal, Derek Jeter, John Cena, Travis Scott, Serena Williams, Floyd Mayweather, IShowSpeed, LeBron, Tom Brady, and dozens more are scheduled to appear. Soccer’s biggest names will conduct pre-World Cup Final interviews on Friday, with a watch party for the championship that Sunday.
The real flex is happening inside. Jay-Z will host a VIP bash at his 40/40 club pop-up inside the venue—strictly for celebrities, though regular fans can post up outside and catch glimpses of the bold-faced names passing through.
It’s a hard knock life, but Jay-Z and Michael Rubin are out here proving that when you’ve built something real, you throw parties that the whole city remembers.
