The Kansas City Chiefs are in the hot seat. Late Wednesday night, they had to address some serious allegations. The former girlfriend of wide receiver Rashee Rice hit social media with emotional posts, accusing him of domestic violence.
While she didn’t name him directly, the details and timing spoke volumes. Public attention quickly focused on the star player, forcing the Chiefs to respond. According to the Kansas City Star, the team confirmed they knew about the situation and were talking to the league. Their official word: “The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League. We have no further comment at this time.” This unfolding situation puts Rashee Rice, the Chiefs, and the NFL under intense scrutiny, especially with his recent history of league discipline and legal troubles already weighing heavy.
The Chiefs’ statement was short, controlled, and very deliberate. That choice alone tells you a lot. In these kinds of situations, franchises have to balance legal caution with public responsibility. Kansas City clearly chose to hold back.
Confirming communication with the NFL means this isn’t just social media noise anymore. The league’s personal conduct policy gives them a lot of power to investigate, even if no criminal charges have been filed. This could escalate fast, or it could drag out quietly behind closed doors.
This response also shows the Chiefs understand the true weight of domestic violence accusations. These aren’t just PR headaches. These are real claims of harm and trauma, often with children caught in the middle. Fans might want instant answers, but the league moves at its own pace.
For now, the Chiefs are letting the NFL take the lead. No denials. No defenses. Just an acknowledgment.
Mother Of Rashee Rice’s Children Shares Graphic Allegations Online
Dacoda Jones, who shares two children with Rice, took to Instagram to share her truth. She posted images showing a bloody lip, visible scratches, and bruises. Alongside these photos, she detailed years of alleged abuse and emotional distress from a relationship she says ended just two months ago.
“I’m so tired of keeping quiet I’m so tired of protecting his image. I’ve been through enough in the span of 8 years and I’ve had ENOUGH! I’ve dealt with abuse for years, me and this man decided to break up a couple months ago and it’s been nothing but hell,” Jones wrote. Her words were raw, unfiltered, and carried immense weight. She went on to allege abuse during pregnancy, being locked outside in the cold, and her former partner breaking into her home. She also described facing financial strain and instability after their breakup.
“He literally left us in Kansas and I had to beg him to send money so that I could drive to Texas with my kids and all our stuff. We have an agreement because of everything he’s put me through and he still doesn’t follow it. He’s now trying to remove me and my kids from our home for no apparent reason. I’ve known this man for YEARS. He tries to put on this persona like he’s dad of the year. He does the bare minimum and I have to beg for that. I’ve protected his image too long and I’m done doing that. It’s time to protect my peace, protect my children and stand up for myself.”
