Jonathan Ross Identified As ICE Agent Who Fatally Shot Woman In Minneapolis And Same Officer Who Was Dragged About 100 Yards By Car, Needing 33 Stitches, During Traffic Stop Last Year

Okay, so let’s talk about some heavy news coming out of Minneapolis. The ICE agent identified as Jonathan E Ross has been linked to two major incidents. This officer fatally shot a woman on Wednesday, January 7th. Interestingly, this isn’t his first time making headlines – he was also dragged about 100 yards by a car last June, an incident that left him with significant injuries and 33 stitches. Both ABC News and The New York Times have confirmed these details.
We’ve been following this story, and it’s confirmed that Jonathan E Ross is indeed the ICE agent who tragically shot 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. The incident occurred in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as Good reportedly tried to drive away from ICE agents while sitting in her car. Our hearts go out to her three children who are now left without their mother.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that Good was killed during a federal operation. What’s chilling is that she wasn’t under investigation, wasn’t a target of any law enforcement activity, and had no known criminal ties to the operation. Make it make sense, y’all.
However, DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin offered a different narrative, claiming Good was “attempting to run over our law enforcement officers” right before an ICE agent fired the fatal shots.

Trump & Vance Weigh In: Self-Defense or Something More?

Following the tragic shooting, both President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance quickly jumped to the defense of the ICE agent. They were adamant that the incident was an act of self-defense. Trump even hit up Truth Social, saying:

“I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a horrible thing to watch. The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self-defense.
Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital. The situation is being studied, in its entirety, but the reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis. They are just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE. We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate! – PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP”

Meanwhile, JD Vance echoed similar sentiments at a press conference, stating:

“This is a guy who’s actually done a very, very important job for the United States of America. He’s been assaulted. He’s been attacked. He’s been injured because of it.”

A Disturbing Pattern? Agent Ross Involved In Another Car-Related Incident Last Year

VP Vance brought up a concerning detail: the same ICE agent involved in Renee Good’s shooting was previously dragged by a car last summer. This past June, in Bloomington, Minnesota, an individual named Roberto Carlos Muñoz – described as an illegal immigrant and convicted child sex offender – allegedly tried to flee federal officers during a stop.
During that previous incident, agents claimed Muñoz hit the ICE agent with his car and dragged him for 300 feet. The agent reportedly sustained serious cuts, requiring over 30 stitches. By December 2025, a jury had convicted Muñoz for assault on a federal officer using a dangerous and deadly weapon, causing bodily injury.
Adding to the confirmation, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem also identified Agent Ross as the officer in both incidents. She told the press, “The very same officer who was attacked today had previously been dragged by an anti-ICE rioter who had rammed him with a car and drugged him back in June. He sustained injuries at that time as well.”
