Two legends, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=black%20cosmopolitan%20%2B%20%22Keith%20David%22">Keith David</a> and Rob Lowe, are teaming up for "My New Friend Jim," a dark comedy flick directed by Ash Avildsen. Word on the street is they're already filming in Nevada, so get ready!
This film sounds like it's gonna hit different. It's about two dads from totally different worlds who connect while searching for a runaway daughter in Reno. Think frantic search meets offbeat story, exploring fatherhood, morality, and unexpected connections.
Avildsen describes it as a "twistedly heartfelt" look at how far dads will go for their kids. It's all about how parenthood can break down class lines and assumptions, set against the backdrop of Reno's unique vibe. Expect unlikely friendships, messy humanity, and a whole lot of humor.

Avildsen, the mastermind behind Sumerian Entertainment, brings a fresh perspective to this project. He most recently helmed "Queen of the Ring," a film about the groundbreaking pro-wrestler Mildred Burke. His credits also include "American Satan" and the series "Paradise City." This brother's got range.
"My New Friend Jim" will be filming throughout Reno during November, so keep an eye out for some familiar landmarks.
