Rapper Kevin Gates is again addressing influencer Kristy Sarah divorcing chef and influencer Desmond Scott, declaring, “Look what she made him do. He was suffering in silence, it was all over his face.”

Kristy Sarah Files For Divorce From Desmond Scott

On January 9, TMZ first reported that social media’s favorite married couple had called it quits. On December 30, 2025, Sarah filed for divorce from Scott in Harris County, Texas.

In her court documents, she cited alleged infidelity as the reason for her seeking a divorce. She claimed there wasn’t any reasonable chance of reconciliation. The paperwork also claimed the couple would soon stop living together as husband and wife.

The former couple first met when Scott was 15 and Sarah 14. They then tied the knot in 2014 and welcomed two boys together. Following Sarah’s divorce filing, Scott broke his silence, seemingly admitting to Sarah’s infidelity allegations as he apologized to his family and their fans. On January 10, he wrote on his Instagram Story:

“I want to begin by apologizing to Kristy, our family, and everyone who has been impacted by the public attention surrounding this situation. I know this news has been disappointing for many, and I’m truly sorry for the hurt it has caused.

Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first. I remain fully committed to being an active, present, and loving parent to our boys, as I have always been. Kristy and I faced challenges and made sincere efforts to work through them.

Toward the end of 2025, I wanted to separate, and | had conversations with Kristy regarding this. During this period, I made choices that I am not proud of. I took responsibility for those actions, I shared this with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce.

l ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter of our lives. Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. I’m grateful for that support and will continue sharing my love for cooking and the things that inspire me. I hope you’ll continue that journey with me.”

Kevin Gates Offers Desmond Scott Advice After Steamy Kissing Video With Marissa Springer Amid Kristy Sarah Divorce

On January 15, Desmond Scott was back in headlines as video surfaced of him kissing a mystery woman at a bar in Texas. The woman was identified as Houston influencer and model named Marissa Springer, 24. After getting dragged online as the alleged homewrecker, Springer denied the claims in a video.

She insisted, “Everyone involved in the situation knows that it was not me. I’m not the woman the cheated with.” Without naming the former couple, Springer added, “They are divorced. The ink is dry. Most of you guys don’t actually know these people.”

She also denied rumors that she’s transgender and that Scott is gay. She fired off, “I’m just a girl, I love being a girl. No offense to the transgenders. And why are you guys calling a clearly straight man gay as an insult? I thought that was something we don’t do in 2026.”

Two days before Springer’s video, on January 16, Kevin Gates offered Scott some advice as social media dragged him over the steamy kissing video. He said:

“Desmond Scott, I just wanna say I salute you, brother, and I’m praying for you. You nice looking, you fly, you’re intelligent, and you know how to cook. It’s no woman on God’s Earth that wouldn’t want you. So, just ignore the hate ’cause right now you about to go way up in the air, now. Use the hate that you receiving right now for your motivation to propel you forward. F**k what the internet talking about. Them just miserable people. Say, you wasn’t happy. You did something to make you happy. The only thing I wouldn’t have did was apologize. If they ask me, ‘Yeah I went and slung that d**k. Yeah, why, wassup?’ That’s what I would’ve did. ‘I’m doing all the cooking, all the cleaning.’ No Black man should leave the home without his d**k sucked. Straight like that.”

Scott commented under the post and said, “My Dawg 😂😂 you almost got crazy on me at the end much love my brother!!” Fans also noticed that Scott gave Gates a follow after the rapper offered him advice.

Kevin Gates Claims Kristy Sarah ‘Made’ Desmond Scott Cheat On Her: ‘He Was Suffering In Silence, It Was All Over His Face’

While appearing on the January 28 episode of Shannon Sharpe‘s ‘Club Shay Shay‘ podcast, Kevin Gates again addressed Desmond Scott and Kristy Sarah’s divorce. He told Sharpe:

“I don’t like to see people get kicked while they’re down. He wasn’t happy. Everybody saying, ‘He’s so wrong.’ No, she’s so wrong. ‘Look what you made me do.’ Why’d he do it? He was suffering in silence. It was all over his face. He was suffering in silence. A lot of men suffer in silence.

And he was just making himself happy. Then the woman that he was over there with, they talking about, ‘Man, that motherf**ker look like a monster.’ I got in her DM too. I told her, I said, ‘Ignore the hate. That’s just miserable people. Keep being amazing. You’re beautiful.’ Because they was trying to talk about her too. I don’t like to see people get kicked when they down. And then I saluted him. I said, ‘Man, it ain’t the end of the world.’

See, it’s a lot of time when you be with a woman, they’ll isolate you and make you feel like, ain’t nothing out there. Oh no, God ain’t stopped. All you got to do is focus on God. He’ll send you something. More pressure. More pressure than what you had.

I hate to say this. A good woman. That’s a gift from God. But the man is the price. See, that’s like my new woman. A lady told me. She said, ‘Kevin, I’ve been knowing you forever. That new woman you with, she healing your central nervous system. You got this calmness about you now.’ Because when I get mad, I shut down. And my woman come to me. She said, ‘Baby, stop running from me. Just let me love you.’ Because a lot of times it’s easy for us to give love and not receive love.

But back to my brother Desmond. You know how to cook all these different meals. You’re nice looking. You’re intelligent. You articulate well. You work out. What woman ain’t? Come on, man. You got options, baby.”
