Kim Kardashian has revealed that she spent roughly five years single after her divorce from Kanye West, and the experience became a chance to reset. Putting her kids and personal growth first, she said, “felt great.”
Speaking with The Times, Kim opened up about her extended time flying solo. With the brief exception of Pete Davidson, she’s been unattached since filing for divorce in 2021.
“I was really single for five years, and that felt great,” she said. “I could focus on my kids and projects that I really wanted to be involved with. I really felt no rush.”
Being unattached didn’t feel hollow to her. “I didn’t feel empty,” she explained. “I just needed my time.”
The SKIMS founder added that the period gave her space to heal and work on herself. “I wanted to completely heal and just work on myself. I wasn’t ready to open up. I really wasn’t even thinking about it. The universe works in your favor when you just allow it to.”
When it comes to her current relationship with Kim Kardashian, she’s keeping things private. During the interview, she politely declined to discuss her connection with Lewis Hamilton, saying in the most respectful way possible, she’d prefer not to go there.
That said, Kim and Lewis seem solid. The pair have been sharing glimpses of each other on Instagram throughout the summer, giving fans a casual peek into their connection.
The couple has been spotted together at major moments. They attended Kate Hudson’s New Year’s Eve party in Aspen, Colorado, and later showed up at the Super Bowl together in February. Since then, they’ve kept a steady stream of couple content flowing across their feeds.
