Maino Slams Jim Jones Eviction Rumors Cap After 50 Cent

Rapper Maino is stepping in to clear the air after rumors spread online claiming Jim Jones had been evicted from IFC Studios.

The speculation started after 50 Cent shared a letter from a landlord allegedly ordering Jim Jones to vacate the property. The post also included a video showing Jones kicking in doors inside the studio, which quickly went viral and led many people on social media to believe the Dipset rapper had been forced out.

But according to Maino, that narrative isn’t true.

During an appearance on Way Up with Angela Yee hosted by Angela Yee, Maino addressed the situation and said the eviction story is being blown out of proportion.

Maino explained that the “Let’s Rap About It” podcast crew is not responsible for paying rent at IFC Studios and that Jim Jones still has a five-year lease on the space.

“Jim Jones being evicted is cap,” Maino said, adding that the rapper was never taken to court over unpaid rent.

According to Maino, the issue actually stems from a dispute with the landlord, who he claims has been making false claims in an attempt to create drama.

He alleged that the landlord even illegally locked Jim Jones out of the studio, which led to police getting involved. Maino said the landlord was eventually escorted out of the building by police during the situation.

The controversy comes as tensions between Jim Jones and 50 Cent continue to play out online, with both artists taking jabs at each other across social media.

For now, Maino insists the eviction talk is nothing more than internet rumors — and says Jim Jones is still locked into his lease.
