Looks like Tina Knowles had a little bump in the road this week — but she bounced back quick! Tina Knowles‘s popular gumbo booth at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was temporarily shut down by the Houston Health Department on Monday following a complaint investigation.
Now before y’all panic — it didn’t last long at all. According to officials, the shutdown was only temporary, and Tina’s team worked with the health department to address the issue. After a follow-up inspection, the booth was officially cleared and reopened the very next day on March 17.
The exact reason behind the complaint hasn’t been disclosed, but authorities confirmed the vendor was cooperative and met all requirements to get back in business.
And let’s be real — this isn’t just any gumbo. Mama Tina’s recipe is said to be a family classic, perfected over decades and even loved by her superstar daughter, Beyoncé.
Despite the brief shutdown, it’s clear the setback didn’t slow things down for long. The booth is back serving up bowls, and fans at the rodeo can once again get a taste of that Southern flavor.
One thing about Mama Tina — she gonna handle business and get right back to it!
