Back in a 2001 interview, when asked about J.Lo, Mariah famously shrugged it off with the now-viral phrase: “I don’t know her.” Fast forward to 2025, Andy brought it back up, asking if the two superstar singers had ever cleared the air.
Mariah’s response? Pretty much the same as before. Queen Mimi doesn’t backtrack!
“I was being honest then, and I’ll be honest now… I still don’t know her.”
While she threw praise at other singers during the game — including Beyoncé — Mimi kept her tone flat when it came to J.Lo. The subtlety! The drama! Only a true diva can deliver shade with such effortless elegance.
Jennifer has previously clapped back at the “forgetful” shade. During an interview with Wendy Williams, J.Lo insisted she and Mariah had crossed paths multiple times:
“She must be forgetful. We’ve met many times.”
But judging from Mariah’s comments this week, nothing’s changed between the two iconic voices of the 2000s. And honestly, we’re not mad at it. A little healthy competition never hurt anyone, right?
