In footage chronicled by BlkCosmo, Mariah Carey and .Paak sat side by side, front row at the iHeart Radio Music Awards on Monday, March 17. To note, Carey’s two children, Moroccan and Monroe, were also present at the ceremony and sat alongside the couple as the singer waited to receive this year’s Icon Award.

Before Carey was presented with the award, she was honored by fellow songstresses Muni Long and Tori Kelly. Per Page Six, the pair performed a plethora of Carey’s hits, including ‘Always Be My Baby’ and ‘We Belong Together.’

However, it isn’t Long or Kelly’s performance that has now made headlines. Instead, it’s the fact that cameras caught Mariah Carey’s facial reaction during Muni Long’s performance, per Page Six.

Mariah Carey Also Honored Her Late Mother At The iHeartRadio Music Awards

According to USA Today, Mariah Carey’s 2025 Icon Award was presented by LL Cool J. During her speech, she noted her gratitude to her devoted fanbase, the Lambs.

“Even now, I still get excited when I hear one of my songs playing on the radio. It never stops being magical,” she said in part. “…And to my fans, my Lamb-ily, you’ve been with me through every step of this journey. Your love and loyalty are the greatest gift and I’m endlessly thankful for each one of you.”

Additionally, Carey even shared a touching word about her late mom, Patricia Carey.

“On this St. Patrick’s Day, I want to honor my mother, Patricia Carey, for giving me the gift of music,” she said.
