After a grueling three-day trial, the phenomenal Metro Boomin emerged victorious, walking out of court a free man. A jury found him not liable on all counts in a civil lawsuit that accused him of rape. Justice prevailed!

On Thursday, Sept. 25, the jury reached their verdict swiftly, after less than two hours of deliberation. According to Rolling Stone’s Nancy Dillon, Metro triumphed against all four causes of action: sexual assault, sexual battery, a violation of the Ralph Act, and gender violence. It’s a powerful statement.

Visibly relieved, Metro briefly addressed reporters outside the courthouse after the verdict. “I’m blessed and glad the truth prevailed,” he shared, his words carried by legal journalist Meghann Cuniff. It’s a moment of vindication after a long ordeal.

Vanessa LeMaistre filed the lawsuit last year, accusing Metro of sexual assault in a Las Vegas hotel room back in 2016. Her claims revolved around an allegation that he gave her a half Xanax pill and a shot of liquor. She further alleged resulting pregnancy and subsequent termination.

The case went to trial on Sept. 23, and both LeMaistre and Metro took the stand to offer their testimonies. Settlement talks had failed earlier this year, leaving the jury with the weighty responsibility of deciding the truth. Ultimately, they cleared the Atlanta hitmaker of any wrongdoing.

With this chapter closed, Metro Boomin can now refocus on what he does best: crafting the beats that move our souls. It’s time for the music to speak again after this courtroom drama had the entire industry holding its breath. Onward and upward, Metro!
