Michael B. Jordan‘s ‘Sinners’ is making history before its release.
The Ryan Coogler-directed movie isn’t even out yet, the riveting flick has already stunned critics with a flawless 100% Rotten Tomatoes score from over three dozen reviews, making it the best-reviewed wide release of 2025 so far.
Tomatometer isn’t an average rating—it reflects the percentage of critics who gave the film a positive review. So far, all 45 verified critics have given the film a thumbs up, with not a single negative review in the mix.

This marks Coogler’s fifth collaboration with Jordan (Fruitvale Station, Creed, Black Panther).
The film is a supernatural thriller set in the Jim Crow South. Jordan plays twin brothers returning to their Chicago hometown, only to confront a dark, ancient force waiting for them.
With a $90 million budget and Hailee Steinfeld and Jordan spearheading the cast, ‘Sinners’ is shaping up to be a breakout hit—if the box office matches the buzz.
