Jones, a music icon and cultural pioneer, received a Governor’s Award earlier this year, making this tribute a fitting recognition of his influential career. Queen Latifah’s performance is just one of many star-studded acts planned for the evening with Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Lisa (Blackpink), Doja Cat and RAYE also set to grace the stage.

Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the 97th Academy Awards will air live on March 2 2025 at 7:00pm ET on ABC, with streaming on Hulu.
