Now, in a fiery response, Ray J says Kim and Kris are “completely lying about everything” when it comes to their alleged role in releasing that tape that basically launched Kim into global fame.
Ray J says the two recently filed declarations claiming they had nothing to do with the tape being released — but he says that’s far from the truth.
The singer told TMZ that he actually sat in a room with Kim, Kris, and execs from Vivid Entertainment, the company that released the tape, to hash out a deal.
Vivid keeps saying they got the tape from a third party, but Ray J says things were way more organized behind the scenes.
He says both he and Kim got $400,000 each for a deal covering three separate tapes — two shot in Cabo and one in Santa Barbara.
The most shocking claim? Ray J says Kris Jenner actually encouraged them to film the Santa Barbara tape and make it “dirtier.”
Clearly frustrated, Ray J wondered how Kim and Kris could make statements under oath denying any involvement.
“Are they out of their minds?” he asked, pointing out that lying under oath should bring serious consequences.
Now that he’s a dad, Ray J says this situation feels way more personal.
He doesn’t want his kids growing up thinking he deliberately leaked a sex tape or used it for revenge.
“That’s not the truth,” he said. “My son and daughter don’t deserve to think their dad did something like that.”
The legal battle has been brewing for months. Back in October, Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner filed a defamation suit against Ray J, accusing him of spreading false claims about the tape.
Ray J fired back with a countersuit, alleging they broke a previous settlement that barred all parties from publicly discussing the tape.
Now the drama’s got even more attention after Ray J’s mom, Sonja Norwood, stepped in to defend her son on social media.
Sonja simply asked Kim and Kris: If they didn’t plan the release… then who did?
