In these alleged texts, Rodriguez reportedly talks about not feeling well, blaming some serious dental issues. He’s said to have told Perry that he knew he promised not to ask for anything, but he didn’t have health insurance. What’s even more telling is that the messages reportedly show Rodriguez simply expressing fear, wanting to ensure his health issue wasn’t serious. No accusations. No boundary panic. Just pure stress, fear, and, according to the texts, financial worries.

Now, all of this is crashing into a lawsuit Rodriguez filed just last week, where he’s accusing Perry of sexual assault and sexual battery. The complaint alleges unwanted advances and one incident where Perry supposedly grabbed his penis.

His attorney, the powerhouse Alex Spiro, held nothing back when talking to TMZ, calling it “nothing but a 77 million dollar money grab scam.” Period.
