The family of late dancer and DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss is contemplating legal action against his widow, Allison Holker, following claims made in her recent memoir. Holker’s book, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light, released earlier this month, has sparked controversy with the Boss family, who are seeking legal counsel to explore their options.

In a statement shared on Instagram on February 12, Boss’ family expressed their dismay over what they described as “misleading accounts and inconsistencies” in Holker’s memoir. The family claims that Holker’s portrayal of the late dancer has been disrespectful and evasive, accusing her of attempting to “reshape” his story.

“We have repeatedly shown compassion toward Allison despite her disrespectful and evasive action,” the statement read. “Stephen does not deserve this treatment, in life or death, and her accounts cause us to doubt everything she has uttered publicly and privately.”

Holker’s memoir includes allegations about Boss’ struggles with substance abuse, claiming that she discovered a variety of drugs, including psychedelic mushrooms, in his closet after his passing. She stated that although she knew he used marijuana, she was unaware of the extent of his drug use, which she describes as an “almost constant state of being high.”

However, an autopsy report contradicted these claims, revealing that there were no drugs in Boss’ system at the time of his death. The family’s statement acknowledged the unanswered questions surrounding Holker’s account and confirmed their intent to pursue legal action for clarity.

“Due to the unproven statements published in Allison’s memoir, we have decided to seek legal counsel to examine this matter,” the statement concluded. “There are a lot of unanswered questions and we want answers.”

Boss, 40, tragically died by suicide in December 2022, leaving behind his wife, Holker, and their children. As the family navigates their grief, they are now faced with the controversy surrounding the memoir and the allegations it contains.
