It's been a quarter century since Aaliyah's tragic death and even though she's gone way too soon, the late legend's legacy will live on forever. She was only 11 years old when she first started performing, hitting the Sin City stage alongside her aunt, Gladys Knight. Aaliyah dropped her debut album in 1994, when she was just 14. Her second album went double platinum, and her third and final album scored her a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album.

Cassandra Wilson & Black Celebrities Lost in 2026
Grammy Award-winning jazz singer Cassandra Wilson passed away in Jackson, MS, on Sept. 1. Her manager confirmed her death in a statement, saying that the singer-songwriter transitioned peacefully at home, surrounded by family, close friends, and her manager. In addition to 19 solo studio albums, Wilson also recorded with some of the industry's top artists, including The Roots, Wynton Marsalis and Elvis Costello. In 2001, Time called her America's Best Singer. Cassandra Wilson was 70 years old.

Keffe D Guilty in Tupac Murder Case After 30 Years
On Monday, a Clark County jury found Duane 'Keffe D' Davis, 63, guilty of first-degree murder with use of a deadly weapon in the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur. He is the only person ever charged in the case. Tupac was shot in a drive-by on the Las Vegas Strip on September 7, 1996, and died six days later. He was 25. Prosecutors said Davis was the shot caller in the white Cadillac that night and handed off the gun after his nephew, Orlando 'Baby Lane' Anderson, was beaten by Tupac's group at the MGM Grand hours earlier.

Blueface Purchases $2.2M California Home
Blueface recently moved into a sprawling $2.25 million property in Moorpark, California, just in time for the arrival of his newborn son. The home spans over 5,000 square feet and features five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, mountain views and a four-car garage. He was accompanied by Christian Crane of Agents of LA and former Death Row Records producer Eric Yokoyama.
