Teyana Taylor Clashes with Oscars Security

So things reportedly got pretty heated for Teyana Taylor right after the 98th Academy Awards wrapped up Sunday night. We’re still waiting on officialcomment, but from what we’re hearing, this went down inside the Dolby Theatre just seconds after the live broadcast ended. Teyana Taylor was trying to get back to the stage for that traditional Best Picture cast photo with her One Battle After Another castmates when things escalated fast.

According to sources, she was walking toward the stage alongside Pam Abdi, the co-head of Warner Bros., when a security guard stepped in to block them from going up the stairs. Witnesses claim the guard used his body to block Teyana Taylor and allegedly put his hands on her while trying to physically hold her back and push her away from the stage.

Video recorded inside the theater captured Taylor confronting the guard during the tense moment. In the clip, Taylor can be heard telling the guard not to put his hands on a woman and calling the behavior disrespectful. At one point during the exchange she reportedly told people nearby, “He literally shoved me.”

Sources say the situation grew tense for a moment as the guard continued controlling access to the stage. During the back-and-forth, the guard allegedly asked Taylor to apologize as the argument continued. The moment eventually cooled down, but the confrontation quickly became a topic of discussion among people inside the theater after the ceremony.

So far, representatives for Taylor have not publicly commented on the incident.
