Teyana Taylor hopped on X to clear the air after her heated moment at the 2026 Oscars was clipped and dragged out of context.
According to coverage of her posts, she told critics that:
She wasn’t “showing out” or being a sore loser after Amy Madigan beat her for Best Supporting Actress. In fact, she said she stood, clapped, and cheered for Madigan like everyone else.
The confrontation happened after the broadcast ended, when a security guard allegedly shoved her while blocking her from going back onstage with the One Battle After Another team for their Best Picture photo.

On X, she emphasized she simply doesn’t tolerate disrespect or being physically handled, especially by a man: she repeated that he “literally shoved” her and that her reaction was about personal boundaries, not “diva behavior.”
Later, she softened the temperature a bit in a TMZ clip, saying, “Everybody’s having a good time… security was just doing a lot. There’s always that one.” But her X message made it clear: support other women? Yes. Accept being shoved in heels and couture on live TV? Absolutely not.
