Tyler Perry is set to expand his acclaimed ‘Sistas’ universe with a new series titled Divorced Sistas, currently in development at BET+. This upcoming show is poised to delve into the lives of women navigating the challenges and triumphs of life after divorce, continuing Perry’s tradition of exploring complex female relationships and personal growth.
Divorced Sistas starring Khadeen Ellis, Briana Price, LeToya Luckett, Porscha Coleman, & Jennifer Sears is expected to blend elements of comedy, drama, and romance, much like its predecessor. The series aims to provide a fresh perspective on the experiences of divorced women, highlighting their journeys toward self-discovery and empowerment.
This new addition follows the success of Zatima, another spin-off from the original Sistas series, which focuses on the relationship between characters Zac and Fatima. With Divorced Sistas, Perry continues to expand his storytelling universe, offering audiences more nuanced narratives centered on Black women’s experiences.
