West Wilson Fired From Summer House Over Affair

Summer House is shaking things up. West Wilson is out, and Bravo is locking in the season 11 cast as we speak. The drama? It’s real, and it’s messy.

A source close to production told The Hollywood Reporter that West, who joined the series in 2024, won’t be returning after three seasons. His exit comes as the network figures out who stays and who goes. You know how it is with reality TV—one scandal can shift everything. Speaking of which, check out more on Summer House to stay in the loop.

The reason? West’s relationship with Amanda Batula went public on March 31, just two months after Amanda and her estranged husband Kyle Cooke announced their separation after four years of marriage. The romance shocked fans and stirred up the whole group dynamic. Part of the tension? West had previously been linked to castmate Ciara Miller, and they were rekindling things—which came out at the reunion. Plus, West and Kyle were best friends. Talk about complicated.

Since this controversy happened after season 10 wrapped, Bravo scheduled Summer House: The Aftermath, a bonus episode with three sit-down interviews filmed after the reunion. It aired to give viewers the real tea on where everyone’s relationships stand now.

Bravo hasn’t announced the full returning cast yet. Filming kicks off in early July, so the network is still figuring out who’s coming back.

Josh Brown, Bravo’s VP of current production, made it clear this isn’t a complete overhaul. “We do not feel like this is a reboot situation at all. We feel like this is evolving,” he told THR. “It really comes down to what the show is, which is obviously about a summer share in the Hamptons, and in real life, every summer, there might be a core group but the group does evolve in real life share houses. So these things evolve. We can’t say exactly how many people are returning or exactly how many new cast members are joining, but there’s always new people to freshen the dynamic.”

Brown emphasized that adding new faces isn’t new for the show. “We didn’t feel like that was a reboot, either. We felt that was evolving,” he explained. The network was already planning for fresh energy before the scandal hit, so expect some surprises when the Hamptons crew gathers again.
