13 Queens. One Undeniable Legacy.

Since 1990, Black and Black Biracial women have shaped the history of Miss USA, (NOT Miss America) breaking barriers, redefining leadership, and using the crown as a platform for impact far beyond the stage.

From firsts to back-to-backs, from the military to STEM, from journalism to criminal justice reform, from mental health advocacy to global stages, these women didn’t just wear the crown. They expanded what it means.

This Black History Month, we honor the brilliance, resilience, and influence of the 13 Black and Black Biracial Miss USA titleholders who helped build this legacy, and continue to inspire what’s next.

That’s 13 out of 74 winners, or 17.5%. Also worth mentioning is that it took the Miss USA organization 38 years to crown a black woman; hence why the 13 winners have been since 1990.
