Six decades after Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous speech at the Lincoln Memorial, Black Americans returned to the same steps with a familiar message: the fight for voting rights isn't over. The National Action Network and Drum Major Institute organized a march bringing together activists, students, parents and everyday people who wanted to make their voices heard and stand up for the political power previous generations fought to secure.

This Friday marks a historic milestone for one of the country's most controversial Black liberation protests: Black August. It's been nearly 55 years since the first observance took shape inside California's San Quentin State Prison. Black August grew from a turbulent chapter in history marked by prison uprisings, political radicalism, racial injustice and the deaths of men including Black Panther member George Jackson who became symbols of resistance.

Months after the Michael biopic broke box-office records, a new Jackson family project about patriarch Joe is in the works. Marlon will narrate the eight-episode docuseries titled The Manager, The Mythology, The Legend for BLK Prime, offering a deeper look at the man whose vision helped shape their family's musical legacy. However, it remains uncertain whether this project will help fans separate Joe's harsh parenting style from what he accomplished in creating global superstars.

Nipsey Hussle's children, 17-year-old Emani and 9-year-old Kross, have been paid out in cash and other assets from his estate, which was worth an estimated 11 million dollars. The estate is run by Nipsey's brother Blacc Sam. Lauren London, Nipsey's girlfriend at the time of his death, signed a document acknowledging receipt of money for Kross' share. Both children received 50 percent each.
