With gas prices putting even more pressure on everyday budgets, Amazon Prime is offering members a timely perk that could make Friday fill-ups a little less painful.
The new deal comes through a partnership with BP, giving members up to 20 cents off per gallon every Friday from April 3 through May 29, 2026. At a moment when the national average for regular gas has climbed above $4 a gallon and drivers in places like California are staring down prices near $6, even a small discount can feel meaningful. The offer is limited to one redemption each Friday during the promotional window, but for commuters, families, and anyone constantly on the road, that weekly break adds up.
To use the discount, members need to download BPโs earnify app, create a free account, and link it to their Prime membership. Once connected, the app can help drivers find participating BP, Amoco, and select ampm and Thorntons locations. The savings can then be redeemed either by entering a phone number at the pump or by completing the purchase through the app.
The full 20-cent discount is made up of multiple pieces: a standard 5-cent earnify savings, an extra 5 cents for Prime members, and a limited-time bonus 10 cents during the promotion. After the promotion ends, linked accounts will still be eligible for 10 cents off per gallon at participating stations, which gives the program some value beyond the spring rollout.
For a lot of people, perks like this matter because rising transportation costs hit hard and often without warning. Whether itโs getting to work, handling school drop-offs, or managing a side hustle, gas is one of those unavoidable expenses. Thatโs why Amazon Prime stepping into the fuel savings space feels less like a bonus and more like a practical response to what people are dealing with right now.
