The R&B singer is officially moving forward with a defamation lawsuit against Love & Hip Hop alum Althea Heart after she publicly accused him and Benzino of being involved in a sexual relationship. The allegations quickly went viral, sparking backlash and speculation across social media.
The drama unfolded amid ongoing co-parenting issues between Althea and Benzino involving their son, Zino. At the time, Benzino had reportedly stepped in to care for their child while Althea checked into a mental health facility following a breakdown. According to reports, her breakdown stemmed from losing multiple properties after allegedly being scammed by a woman named Theresa Bowe.
During the fallout, Althea shared alleged text messages between herself and Benzino, claiming he admitted to cheating on her with Bobby V. Benzino swiftly shut down the claims, calling them completely false and denying any romantic or sexual involvement with the singer.
Bobby V also wasted no time responding. He publicly confirmed that he is pursuing legal action against Althea for defamation, stating that the allegations are damaging, untrue, and harmful to his reputation.
It’s Only Entertainment has obtained a cease-and-desist letter sent from Bobby V’s attorney to Althea Heart. The letter reportedly demands that she immediately retract the statements and stop spreading the allegations — or face a formal lawsuit.
As of now, Althea has not publicly issued a retraction, and it appears the situation could soon head to court.
