It’s officially stamped—Brandy now has her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the moment hit deep for the legendary singer.

The multi-platinum, Grammy-winning icon was honored Monday with her star placed near Hollywood Boulevard and Argyle Avenue—marking a full-circle moment decades in the making. For years, Brandy dreamed of this recognition.

Brandy shared that the dream started when she was just a student at Hollywood High School, where she would walk past the stars and envision her own name among them.

“Seeing the stars on the Walk of Fame lit something in me… I said I’m going to sing my way onto one of these stars—and I DID!” she said during the emotional ceremony.

With a career spanning over 30 years, Brandy has not only dominated R&B but also left her mark on television and film. From her groundbreaking role in Moesha to iconic performances like Cinderella, she helped redefine representation and beauty standards for a generation.

At the ceremony, Issa Rae gave Brandy her flowers, crediting Moesha as a major influence.

“Brandy made Moesha someone I wanted to befriend… At a time when beauty standards didn’t look like us, Brandy was the standard,” Rae shared.

The ceremony also featured heartfelt words from Babyface, who played a major role in shaping one of Brandy’s early hits. He reflected on their time working together on Sittin’ Up in My Room, a track he wrote for the Waiting to Exhale soundtrack after Whitney Houston personally chose Brandy to perform it.

Babyface shared how blown away he was during the recording process at his home, saying he couldn’t believe the level of talent he was hearing. He went on to call Brandy one of the best vocalists he’s ever worked with, praising not just her skill but the emotion she pours into every performance.

The celebration brought out a star-studded crowd, including Monica, Kehlani, Tisha Campbell, and Jennifer Lewis, all showing love as Brandy’s legacy was cemented in Hollywood history.

Fighting back tears, Brandy called the honor “unbelievable” and a true blessing.

After decades of hits, influence, and culture-shifting moments—her name is now literally written in stone.
