Cam’ron isn’t backing down over what he says he’s owed from a studio session with someone on Cam’ron‘s end of a dispute involving Cardi B’s camp. The rapper went public this week about an unreleased track and the money he feels he never received, and he’s not shy about using alleged NSFW messages as leverage.
During an appearance on Revolt’s “Talk With Flee” earlier this week, Cam’ron laid out exactly what happened. He says Cardi B’s team approached him about a remake of his classic “What Means the World to You.” He agreed to contribute a verse in exchange for an interview with Cardi. Straightforward deal. Except it wasn’t.
The song never dropped. The interview never happened. Cam’ron says he went back to Cardi’s team asking for either the promised sit-down or payment for his contribution. Neither materialized.
Feeling disrespected, Cam’ron decided to air the whole thing publicly. And he’s bringing receipts. During the Revolt interview, he detailed explicit messages from someone on Cardi’s team, describing sexual acts and suggesting the person was avoiding honoring their agreement.
Cam’ron claims he has photographic evidence ready to release if he doesn’t see some form of compensation soon. He wasn’t naming Cardi as the problem, but rather blaming a male member of her team for the broken deal.
The Harlem legend made it clear he has no beef with Cardi herself. His frustration is directed at her team for allegedly making commitments and then ghosting when it came time to deliver.
So here we are. One unreleased remix, one broken promise, and one member of Cardi B’s inner circle potentially facing some very public embarrassment if this situation doesn’t get resolved soon.
