Chris Brown may not have been in attendance at the 2025 GRAMMYs to accept the Best R&B Album honor for his 2024 effort ‘11:11 (Deluxe),’ but that didn’t stop him from delivering a passionate acceptance speech.
Taking to Instagram Stories just moments after the news of his milestone win on Sunday (February 2), Brown kept his acknowledgement of the honor short and sweet.
“We did it,” he told his 144 million followers on the platform.
Later, he returned to IG to elaborate on his elation with a special shout out to his beloved fans (affectionately called #TeamBreezy).
“THANK YOU GOD FOR COVERING ME IN YOUR LOVE AND THANK YOU TEAM BREEZY BEING MY RIDE OR DIES! THANK YOU TO MY KIDS!THANK YOU TO EVERY PRODUCER, WRITER, MANAGEMENT, RCA, STREET TEAM, RADIO,PHOTOGRAPHERs, DIRECTORS, AND THANK YOU TO THE GRAMMYS,” he relayed.
Defeating major competition from R&B superstars Lucky Daye, Usher, Muni Long, and Lalah Hathaway during the GRAMMY pre-show, the win marked the second golden gramophone of Brown’s career and followed nearly 13 years after he landed his first victory in the same category for the 2011 LP ‘F.A.M.E.’
